Michael T. McClendon is a native of Jacksonville, FL and a product of the Northside congregation. He is the son of our Senior Minister and First Lady, Brother Charlie and Sister Ida McClendon. He obeyed the gospel at the age of six, under the teaching of Brother Walter Cox. Brother Michael grew up in the church, learning to serve in all areas. He started singing and speaking publicly at an early age. After graduation from Rebault Senior High School, he enrolled into Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, TX where he majored in Religious Education, with a minor in Bible. He received his Certificate of Ministry from Southwestern and the West End Church of Christ in Terrell, TX. While in school, Michael served as Interim Minister of the churches of Christ in Dennison and Palestine, TX; Minister of the New Hope Church of Christ in Kilgor, TX; and Minister of Music at the Eastside Church in Corsicana, TX. Michael returned home to Jacksonville and in 1991 he became the Associate Minister of the Northside congregation. He held that position until 2002. Michael has recently been assigned as the Mission Minister of Eastside Church of Christ, Jacksonville, FL, which is now a mission work of Northside. Michael and his wife, Janice, share six children and ten grandchildren.

Thornton Brown is a native of Fort Myers, FL. He was baptized in 1997 under the teaching of Bro. Gilbert Miller. He attended FL Preaching School from 1998-2000 after which he began religious training. He relocated to Jacksonville, FL and received practical experience from Bro. Charlie McClendon, Sr. Minister of Northside CoC. Bro. Brown has been married to the former Valerie Arline for 6 years. He has worked with the members of Northside CoC in Palatka, FL as Minister from 2004-2010. Bro. Brown s passion is teaching personal Bible studies.

Al Jackson was born and raised in Winter Haven, Florida. He was baptized into Christ in 1993 at the Hilltop Church of Christ by Minister Eddie L. Harper. He was raised by a strong, loving and hardworking single mother, Sis. Rita Jackson, who taught him the value of hard work. In 1994 the Minister of the congregation asked Bro. Jackson to teach the High School class and he has been teaching the Word ever since. He enrolled at the University of Florida in 1994, soon after he met his wife Anisha at their first Sunday evening service. They were married in 1997 and were blessed with their daughter Jalyn in 2000 and their son AJ in 2003. He served faithfully as the Senior Minister of the 10th Ave. Church of Christ in Gainesville, FL for 13 years. During this time the congregation grew spiritually to its largest membership in its 55 year history. Bro. Jackson & his family were blessed to become a Minister of the Northside Church of Christ of Jacksonville, FL in April 2014. He currently labors there alongside the Senior Minister, Charlie McClendon and the Elders and Deacons. His emphasis is on pulpit preaching, the Youth Ministry, the Single Adults Ministry and the Marriage Enrichment Ministry.

Michael Jackson was born in Brunswick, GA. Bro. Charlie McClendon baptized him in 1979 at the age of 10 at a tent meeting. In the neighborhood that Bro. Jackson grew up in, he was known as the Bible toting lil boy. As an adult, he relocated to Jacksonville in 2000 at which time he hit the ground running serving the Lord. In 2001, Bro. Jackson received a certificate in Biblical Studies from Sunset Bible School. He has served as the Single s Minister at the Northside Church of Christ in Jacksonville, FL. This is where he trained under Northside s Senior Minister, Charlie McClendon, for 6 years. He has served as an Intern Minster for the Northside Church of Christ in Palatka, FL and is currently serving as the Minster of the Miller Street Church of Christ in Orange Park, FL. He is married to Shatesha Jackson and they have 5 daughters. His tireless work and dedication has allowed the Miller Street congregation size to grow. His favorite saying is reach out to one to gain one (Matthew 28:19).

Joe Mack Bro. Joe N. Mack was baptized into the body of Christ on July 24, 1988. He was born and raised in the city of Savannah, GA. Bro. Mack served as the Minister of the Eastside Church of Christ in Jacksonville, FL and has held this position for the past 12 years. He has served as the Assistant Minister at the Church in Lawtey, FL under the leadership of Dr. Benjamin Roberts Jr. during 1992-1995. This is where he received his Certificate of Recognition for Achievement in Ministerial Training. He has also served as the Minister of the Northside Church of Christ in Waycross, GA from 1998-2000. Over the years he has received numerous Certificates of Recognition and Awards in the areas of Bible School Teacher, Evangelistic Ministry, Outstanding Service and Practical Church Growth. Bro. Mack is married to Paulyn J. Mack. They have been married 22 years. They have 2 adult children, Johnny and Armisha and 3 grandchildren: Meccasia, Tamia and Shai Power. Bro. Mack loves the people of God and is currently serving at the Miller St. Church of Christ in Orange Park, FL as the Assistant Minister.

Philip Mobley obeyed the Gospel in 1974 after being taught by Brother Charlie McClendon. He and his wife Lotonia (Toni) worshiped at the Jacksonville Beach Church of Christ for 3 years. In 1977, Brother Mobley and his family moved their membership to Northside. Brother Mobley was selected by the Northside congregation to serve as one of their leaders. In 1979, he was one of a quorum of brothers selected by the Church to work with Brother McClendon as men developed to become qualified as Elders and Deacons. In 1982, Brother Mobley was selected with several other brothers to serve as one of the first Deacons of the congregation. In 1992, Brother Mobley was ordained as an Elder of Northside. As Elder, Brother Mobley led or supported several ministries at the congregation including Youth, Technology, Finance, Media, and Outreach Ministries. As an overseer, he worked with members of Zone 5 and Zone 2. Not only did he worked passionately with the church, he has worked with many non-profits and governmental agencies of Jacksonville and the state of Florida to help children in the communities. His list of community involvement and various awards and recognitions is extensive. Brother Phil received his Associate degree from Florida Gateway College in 1973, Bachelor degree from the University of North Florida in 1975 and MBA from Jacksonville University in 2002. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Education Leadership from the University of North Florida. Brother Phil, as he is affectionately known as, is a native of Lake City, Florida. He and his wife (Lotonia) of 40 years were blessed with two wonderful children Philip Jr. (deceased) and Shanna. They have 5 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. After the death of their son, Brother Phil and Sister Toni assumed the role of raising one of their grandsons, Henry, who is now co-owner of their family business.

ClarenceWilliams was baptized into Christ in 1975 at the Northside CoC. He has been preaching and teaching the Gospel for 33 years. He has been the Minister of the CoC at US Hwy #1 for the past 21 years. Bro. Williams has an AS Degree (Early Childhood Management), a Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA), a state certified General Contractor s License and a state certified Real Estate Broker s License. He is the proud father of four wonderful daughters, all adults.

Richard Coffey is a native of Lexington, Kentucky. He was added the Lord s church in 1971, under the teaching of Alfred Hooker. He is married to Dorothy Nicholson, and to this union they have two sons Michael and Richard Jr. and two daughters Cheryl and Belinda. His academic credentials include Kentucky State University, Florida Junior College, Florida School of Preaching and the FBI Academy. He served the Southwest Church of Christ in Lake City, Florida. He along with Bro. Herbert Nicholson and a few other members established the Sweetwater Church of Christ in Jacksonville, Florida, in the spring of 1977 where he is currently the senior minister.

Ralph H. Flowers obeyed the Gospel of Jesus Christ on May 11, 1989 at Northside Church of Christ in Jacksonville, FL. He completed a Homiletic Course administered by Minister Charlie McClendon of Northside Church of Christ in 1992. Bro. Flowers has been preaching since January 1993 and started his first ministry as a gospel preacher at North Flora Church of Christ in Flora, MS, in February 2005 and is still currently serving as Minister. Under the leadership of Bro. Flowers, the congregation at North Flora averages 30 baptisms a year. Bro. Flowers stands with great joy in the presence of God s glory, blameless and faultless; nevertheless, he is very transparent in his teachings. Through God s word, he exemplifies and encourages that all can achieve what God has in store. As he teaches, he strives to take believers in Christ to spiritual maturity as well as reach the lost. Beyond the corridors and the walls of North Flora Church of Christ Bro. Flowers has made outstanding achievements in his life. He resides in Jackson, MS where after 41 years and 3 months of dutiful service, he retired from a rewarding career with the United States Postal Service. In addition to his accomplishments, he is a doting husband and father. He is loved and greatly admired by his wife, Barbara Flowers, and six daughters, Troslyn, Tomeica, Cecelia, Tiffany, Tara (Zachary), LaToya (Taji), and seven grandchildren.

Douglas Perry is currently serving as Senior Minister of the Jasper St. Church of Christ located in Decatur, IL. He receive his education in the ministry at Southwestern Christian College located in Terrell TX. Bro Perry is married to my high school love, Bobbi Perry, who is also an alumni of Southwestern. In quote of the great general Joshua 24: 15, And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. They have four beautiful children, three of whom are members of the Lord's Church: DeOveon, Kiara, Kira and Kaila. Bro. Perry has had the opportunity to work along side Bro. Charlie McClendon of the Northside Church of Christ in Jacksonville, Florida. Under his leadership, Bro. Perry learned the administration of the Lord's Church through various workshops such as: Evangelism, Church Growth, His Needs, Her Needs, Practical Ministry, Greeters Workshop and Youth Ministry. It is Bro. Perry s prayer that through his knowledge and experience he will be able to save soul's and help lives to improve through the loving work of the ministry. His favorite text is John 6:63, The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you they are full of the Spirit and life.

Samuel Garner has over 14 years of ministerial experience and is a profound proclaimer of God s Word. He is a gifted orator, writer, administrator, apologist, spiritual counselor and skilled evangelist. In addition, Bro. Garner is also a dedicated bible student as well as, a devoted husband and father. He was baptized into Christ in September of 2000 at the Schaffer Rd. Church of Christ in Marietta, GA. He has been married to his wife, Atoya Garner, for 6 years and together they have a daughter named Nia. A native of Magnolia, MS, Bro. Garner grew up in a small southern town with 5 siblings, children of educators, Mr. Ralph and Bernice Garner. Bro. Garner has served the Church of Christ at congregations in Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania and Washington state; thereby, gaining great insight into expanding cultural diversity and addressing specific religious challenges across our nation. Bro. Garner is a graduate of Mississippi State University where he received his BS degree in Communication Theory and Research Sciences. He spent years working in education, social services, warehouse and corporate cultures across the years. Minister Garner went on to attend the Schaffer Rd. School of Evangelistic Studies, Georgia School of Preaching and then was accepted into a 4-year mentorship with Bro. Charlie McClendon at the Northside Church of Christ in Jacksonville, FL where he was trained in church growth, evangelism, counseling and church administration. He is venturing on the last phase of his Master s Degree in Biblical Apologetics and from there he plans to secure a Doctorate of Ministry and a PhD in Theological Studies. Bro. Garner would like to be thought of as your down to earth Christian brother who loves you enough to encourage you to embrace the truth and happens to know the scriptures well enough to share them.
