Lucas Christensen, who is be celebrating his first Sunday as the new pastoral assistant at Holy Trinity and is our homilist today. God grant him and his family Many Years! Holy Trinity chanters, choir members, altar servers, ushers, etc., are invited to join in those respective functions. So that everyone s stewardship commitments will continue, uninterrupted, please clearly label checks or cash intended for Holy Trinity, and it will be directed to the right parish. Schedule of Regular Weekly Services Sundays: Matins, 8:50 AM Confession: After Saturday Vespers Divine Liturgy, 10 AM Wednesdays: Vespers, 6:30 PM Saturdays: During Sunday Matins Or by Appointment Great Vespers, 5 PM Remember to turn cell phones off! See Calendar for Feast Days and Other Weekday Services Scheduled Order for Holy Communion A Warm Welcome to Our Guests Members of the Orthodox Church age seven and above must prepare for Holy Communion with a recent confession, prayer, fasting from all food and drink from midnight (unless medical condition preclude it), being in church before the Epistle and Gospel readings, and being at peace with everyone. We are glad you are worshipping with us. Please note that Holy Communion is limited to members of the Orthodox Church in good standing, who have prepared with prayer, fasting and confession. As there are NO CHURCH SCHOOL classes today, children should sit with their parents and come to Communion with them. An usher will dismiss your row from the center aisle. Then return to your place by a side aisle for the prayers of thanksgiving and the final blessing and dismissal. Please let choir members pass when they come down for Communion. For all others though we cannot share Communion with you, since it is an expression of membership and full unity in faith you are welcome to come forward after the dismissal, receive a blessing and partake of the blessed bread (in the large bowls). Please also sign our guest book, and introduce yourself to Fr. Nabil during the coffee hour. You may inquire with him how you can become a member.

Refrain: Through the intercessions of the Theotokos, O Savior, save us. Who settest fast the mountains by Thy strength, Who art girded round about with power. Refrain Confession and majesty hast Thou put on, Who coverest Thyself with light as with a garment. Refrain The mountains shall rejoice before the Lord, for He is come to judge the earth. Refrain Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen. Refrain 2 ND ANTIPHON (PSALM 86.1, 2, 5 LXX) His foundations are in the holy mountains. Refrain Glorious things are spoken of Thee, O City of God. Refrain A man will say: Sion is our Mother; and: that man was born in her; and: The Most High Himself hath founded her. Refrain Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen. O only-begotten Son and immortal Word of God.

3 RD ANTIPHON (PSALM 88.1, 14, 15 LXX): APOLYTIKION OF THE FEAST AS REFRAIN (TONE 7) Of Thy mercies, O Lord, will I sing forever. Thou didst meet the Virgin and didst give life to the world, O Thou, Who art risen from the dead, O Lord, glory to Thee.

Troparion of Pentecost (Tone 8, for Holy Trinity Parish) Blessed are You, O Christ our God, Who have shown the fishermen as wise men by sending down Your Holy Spirit upon them, and through them the whole world You drew into Your net, O Lover of mankind, glory to You. Thou wast transfigured on the mount, and Thy Disciples, insofar as they were able, beheld Thy glory, O Christ our God, so that, when they should see Thee crucified, they Kontakion of the Transfiguration (Tone 7) would remember that all Thy suffering was voluntary, and could declare to all the world that Thou art truly the effulgent Splendor of the Father. SCRIPTURE LESSONS Prokeimenon (Tone 6; Psalm 27.9, 1) O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance. Verse: To You, O Lord, have I cried, O my God. Reading from St. Paul s Letter to the Romans (15.1-7; 7 th Sunday after Pentecost) BRETHREN, we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves; let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to edify him. For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of those who reproached thee fell on me. For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures, we might have hope. May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, so that together you may with

one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome one another, therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew (9.27-35; 7 th Sunday of Matthew) AT THAT TIME, when Jesus was passing by, two blind men followed Him, crying aloud and saying, Have mercy on us, Son of David. When He entered the house, the blind men came to Him; and Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, Yes, Lord. Then Jesus touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it done to you. And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly charged them, See that no one knows it. But they went away and spread his fame through all that district. As they were going away, behold, a dumb demoniac was brought to Jesus. And when the demon had been cast out, the dumb man spoke; and the crowds marveled, saying, Never was anything like this seen in Israel. But the Pharisees said, He casts out demons by the prince of demons. And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every infirmity of the people.
