ALL PROPHETS WERE MUSLIMS 14-52. This (Qur'an) is a Message for mankind, in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is the only One Ilah (God - Allah) - (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), and that men of understanding may take heed. 23-52. And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me.23-53. But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief.23-54. So leave them in their error for a time. 3-85. And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. 22-78. He has chosen you, and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Abraham). It is He (Allah) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Qur'an), that the Messenger (Muhammad ) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! DEDICATED TO ALL THOSE MUSLIMS WHO ARE ENGAGED IN SPREADING THE MESSAGE OF GOD TO THE HUMANITY IN GENERAL, AND SPECIALLY TO THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK BY INVITING THEM TO ACCEPT ISLAM AND FORM AN UMMAH OF FOLLOWERS OF PROPHET ABRAHAM < (PBUH) < MAY ALLAH BLESS THEM ALL WITH GUIDANCE - AMEEN INTRODUCTION Page 2 of 32

This study is in response to a question were all the prophets Muslims? asked by some non- Muslim and Muslim colleagues of my son Amir Imtiaz. I have chosen to give the relevant verses from Quran to answer this question. In my opinion, this work of rearranging all Quranic Verses on one subject should set a pace for research work in Quran, which will make it easy for all Muslims and their children to understand the Message of Allah on a particular subject and also help non- Muslims to read and know and ponder on the Guidance of Allah independently, to ask questions to clear their thinking and make up their mind what seems to be right or wrong. According to Quran, Prophets were sent to each nation, from prophet Adam (PBUH), till Prophet Jesus Christ, (PBUH), for guidance of people of the time or a particular nation or community. PROPHET MUHAMMAD ((PBUH)) was the last of the series of all the prophets sent after prophet Jesus Christ (PBUH). He was the LAST PROPHET, PROPHET TO THE WHOLE MANKIND, NOT for ARABS ONLY. He did not bring a new religion but religion of ISLAM, THE RELIGION OF ALL PROPHETS, FROM ADAM (PBUH) to MUHAMMAD (PBUH). Because no new prophet is to come, it becomes Duty of all Muslims, to convey the Last Message to all the Humanity. I hope and pray that all the humanity in general and our brothers in Abrahamic Religions, Jews and Christians in particular, will find this humble effort of mine useful for its comparative study with their Holy books and in making a decision for accepting Islam. This work also points out that different misconceptions did creep in with passage of time in both previous divine religions. But these two are not the exceptions, it actually happens to all religions of the world, branches of knowledge and in social customs. They all need a periodic review. Page 3 of 32

Same has been done by Quran, the Last Book of Allah to the whole Mankind. All the nations had their own prophets, books and religions, but after the coming of Last Prophet of Islam, they all need to update their religions to what has been sent in Quran and rename themselves as Muslims, the Name given by Allah himself. I am grateful to Allah for giving me the understanding to compile this work because THE IDEAS COME FROM ALLAH ALONE. HE CHOOSES WHO TO GIVE AN IDEA AND WHEN TO GIVE IT. IT IS NEVER ACHIVEMENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL, BECAUSE ALLAH SAYS IN QURAN:- 2-255 He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never encompass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. PART- ONE WHAT DOES ISLAM AND QURAN TEACH BASIC BELIEFS IN ISLAM TAUHID - Oneness of God:- Islamic Faith Pronunciation There is no god worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is His messenger. IMAN-E-MUJMAL (The Summary Declaration of Faith) I have faith in Allah as He is known by His Names and attributes and I accept all His commands. IMAN-E-MUFASSIL (The Detailed Declaration of Faith) I have faith in Allah and His Angels, His Books and His Messengers, and the Day of Judgement and that all good and evil and fate is from Almighty Allah and it is sure that there will be resurrection after death * Page 5 of 32

Attributes of Allah 112-1. Say (O Muhammad (PBUH): "He is Allah, (the) One. 112-2. "Allah-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks). 112-3. "He begets not, nor was He begotten; 112-4. "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him." 2-255. Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. [This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat-ul-Kursi. 14-52. This (Qur'an) is a Message for mankind (and a clear proof against them), in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is the only One Ilah (God - Allah) - (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), and that men of understanding may take heed. 15-89. And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 16-64. And We have not sent down the Book (the Qur'an) to you (O Muhammad), except that you may explain clearly unto them Page 6 of 32

those things in which they differ, and (as) a guidance and a mercy for a folk who believe. 16-123. Then, We have inspired you (O Muhammad saying): "Follow the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham) Hanifa (Islamic Monotheism - to worship none but Allah) and he was not of the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers, etc.) 3-83. Do they seek other than the religion of Allah (the true Islamic Monotheism worshipping none but Allah Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned. 3-85. And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. Allah took covenant of all prophets, what they will preach. 3-79. It is not (possible) for any human being to whom Allah has given the Book and Al-Hukma (the knowledge and understanding of the laws of religion, etc.) and Prophethood to say to the people: "Be my worshippers rather than Allah's." On the contrary (he would say): "Be you Rabbaniyun (learned men of religion who practise what they know and also preach others), because you are teaching the Book, and you are studying it." 3-80. Nor would he order you to take angels and Prophets for lords (gods). Would he order you to disbelieve after you have submitted to Allah's Will? (Tafsir At-Tabari). 3-81. And (remember) when Allah took the Covenant of the Prophets, saying: "Take whatever I gave you from the Book and Hikmah (understanding of the Laws of Allah, etc.), and afterwards there will come to you a Messenger (Muhammad PBUH) confirming what is with you; you must, then, believe in him and help him." Allah said: "Do you agree (to it) and will you take up My Page 7 of 32

Covenant (which I conclude with you)?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness; and I am with you among the witnesses (for this)." 3-82. Then whoever turns away after this, they are the Fasiqun (rebellious: those who turn away from Allah's Obedience). 3-83. Do they seek other than the religion of Allah (the true Islamic Monotheism worshipping none but Allah Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned. 31-21. And when it is said to them: "Follow that which Allah has sent down", they say: "Nay, we shall follow that which we found our fathers (following)." (Would they do so) even if Shaitan (Satan) invites them to the torment of the Fire. MESSENGERS WERE SENT TO ALL NATIONS Therefore all religions of the world had a divine beginning but the message got corrupted with passage of time. 10-47. And for every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged 13-37. And thus have We sent it (the Qur'an) down to be a judgement of authority in Arabic. Were you (O Muhammad ) to follow their (vain) desires after the knowledge which has come to you, then you will not have any Wali (protector) or defender against Allah. 13-38. And indeed We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad ), and made for them wives and offspring. And it was not for a Messenger to bring a sign except by Allah's Leave. (For) each and every matter there is a Decree (from Allah). 13-39. Allah blots out what He wills and confirms (what He wills). And with Him is the Mother of the Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz) Page 8 of 32

14-4. And We sent not a Messenger except with the language of his people, in order that he might make (the Message) clear for them. Then Allah misleads whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the All-Mighty, the All- Wise. 14-5. And indeed We sent Musa (Moses) with Our Ayat (signs, proofs, and evidences) (saying): "Bring out your people from darkness into light, and make them remember the annals of Allah. Truly, therein are evidences, proofs and signs for every patient, thankful (person)." 16-35. And those who join others in worship with Allah say: "If Allah had so willed, neither we nor our fathers would have worshipped aught but Him, nor would we have forbidden anything without (Command from) Him." So did those before them. Then! Are the Messengers charged with anything but to convey clearly the Message? 16-36. And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah)." Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). 35-23. You (O Muhammad ) are only a warner (i.e. your duty is to convey Allah's Message to mankind but the guidance is in Allah's Hand). 3524. Verily! We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner. And there never was a nation but a warner had passed among them. 35-25. And if they belie you, those before them also belied. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs, and with the Scriptures, and the book giving light. 35-26. Then I took hold of those who disbelieved, and how terrible was My denial (punishment) Page 9 of 32

Allah sends Adam and Eve to earth and tells their children and posterity to follow the Divine Guidance whenever it comes 2-38. We said: "Get down all of you from this place (the Paradise), then whenever there comes to you Guidance from Me, and whoever follows My Guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve. 2-39. But those who disbelieve and belie Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) such are the dwellers of the Fire, they shall abide therein forever. All the spirits of all human beings, when they were created, were asked to testify that Allah is their Lord, and they testified to this fact, lest they say on Day of Resurrection that we were unaware who is our Lord. Or we were misled by our fore fathers in whose house or posterity we were sent and born 7-172. And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam's loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord?" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we have been unaware of this." 7-173. Or lest you should say: "It was only our fathers afortime who took others as partners in worship along with Allah, and we were (merely their) descendants after them; will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practised Al-Batil (i.e. polytheism and committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allah)?" (Tafsir At-Tabari). 7-174. Thus do We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail, so that they may turn (unto the truth). Page 10 of 32

Islam is only one religion of God. All prophets preached only Islam; People got divided into sects or religions, by insisting to follow only their own prophet. 23-52. And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 23-53. But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief.23-54. So leave them in their error for a time. Allah has named the followers of Islam as Muslims, both the followers of Muhammad (PBUH), and followers of all previous prophets 22-78. And strive hard in Allah's Cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all your efforts that His Name should be superior). He has chosen you (to convey His Message of Islamic Monotheism to mankind by inviting them to His religion, Islam), and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Abraham) (Islamic Monotheism). It is He (Allah) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Qur'an), that the Messenger (Muhammad PBUH) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! So perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), give Zakat and hold fast to Allah [i.e. have confidence in Allah, and depend upon Him in all your affairs] He is your Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.), what an Excellent Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.) and what an Excellent Helper! Page 11 of 32

Sons of Prophet Adam (PBUH), were Muslims and made sacrifice to Allah and nobody else 5-27. And (O Muhammad ) recite to them (the Jews) the story of the two sons of Adam [Habil (Abel) and Qabil (Cain)] in truth; when each offered a sacrifice (to Allah), it was accepted from the one but not from the other. The latter said to the former: "I will surely kill you. " The former said: "Verily, Allah accepts only from those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2)." 5-28. "If you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you, for I fear Allah; the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)." 5-29. "Verily, I intend to let you draw my sin on yourself as well as yours, then you will be one of the dwellers of the Fire, and that is the recompense of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers)." 5-30. So the Nafs (self) of the other (latter one) encouraged him and made fairseeming to him the murder of his brother; he murdered him and became one of the losers. Prophet Nuh (PBUH), declared himself as Muslim 7-59. Indeed, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill-allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!" 10-72. "But if you turn away [from accepting my doctrine of Islamic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allah], then no reward have I asked of you, my reward is only from Allah, and I have been commanded to be one of the Muslims (those who submit to Allah's Will)." Page 12 of 32

Prophet Abrahm (PBUH), declared himself as Muslim 2-130. And who turns away from the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham) (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) except him who befools himself? Truly, We chose him in this world and verily, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous. 2-131. When his Lord said to him, "Submit (i.e. be a Muslim)!" He said, "I have submitted myself (as a Muslim) to the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)." "20-65. Then they turned to themselves (their first thought and said): "Indeed you [Ibrahim (Abraham)] know well that these (idols) speak not" 20-66. [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you then worship besides Allah, things that can neither profit you, nor harm you? 20-67. "Fie upon you, and upon that which you worship besides Allah! Have you then no sense? 26-69. And recite to them the story of Ibrahim (Abraham). 70. When he said to his father and his people: "What do you worship?" 26-71. They said: "We worship idols, and to them we are ever devoted. 26-72. He said: "Do they hear you, when you call (on them)? 26-73. "Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?" 26-74. They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing so. "26-75. He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping, 26-76. "You and your ancient fathers? 26-77. "Verily! They are enemies to me, save the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); Page 13 of 32

26-78. "Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me; 26-79. "And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. 26-80. "And when I am ill, it is He who cures me; 26-81. "And Who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life (again); 26-82. "And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection)," Prophet Abraham (PBUH), enjoined submission to Allah to his sons and by his grandson jacob (PBUH), to his sons 2-131. When his Lord said to him, "Submit (i.e. be a Muslim)!" He said, "I have submitted myself (as a Muslim) to the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)." 2-132. And this (submission to Allah, Islam) was enjoined by Ibrahim (Abraham) upon his sons and by Ya'qub (Jacob), (saying), "O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except in the Faith of Islam (as Muslims - Islamic Monotheism)." 2-133. Or were you witnesses when death approached Ya'qub (Jacob)? When he said unto his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We shall worship your Ilah (God - Allah), the Ilah (God) of your fathers, Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), One Ilah(God), and to Him we submit (in Islam)." Page 14 of 32

Many prophets came in succession but all of them were denied because they were considered human beings and they were suspected to aim at replacing the present political leadership 23-23. And indeed We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people, and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him (Islamic Monotheism). Will you not then be afraid (of Him i.e. of His Punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?" 23-24. But the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he seeks to make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, He surely could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing among our fathers of old. 23-25. "He is only a man in whom is madness, so wait for him a while." 23-31. Then, after them, We created another generation. 23-32. And We sent to them a Messenger from among themselves (saying): "Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. Will you not then be afraid (of Him i.e. of His Punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?" 23-33. And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and to whom We had given the luxuries and comforts of this life, said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he eats of that which you eat, and drinks of what you drink. 23-34. "If you were to obey a human being like yourselves, then verily! You indeed would be losers. Page 15 of 32

23-38. "He is only a man who has invented a lie against Allah, but we are not going to believe in him." 23-39. He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 23-44. Then We sent Our Messengers in succession, every time there came to a nation their Messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another (to destruction), and We made them as Ahadith (the true stories for mankind to learn a lesson from them). So away with a people who believe not. 23-45. Then We sent Musa (Moses) and his brother Harun (Aaron), with Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and manifest authority, Prophet HUD (PBUH) 7-65. And to 'Ad (people, We sent) their brother Hud. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill-allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Will you not fear (Allah)?" Prophet SALEH (PBUH) 7-73. And tothamud (people, We sent) their brother Salih (Saleh). He said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill- Allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). PROPHET SHUAIB (PBUH) 7-85. And to (the people of) Madyan (Midian), (We sent) their brother Shu'aib. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. [La ilaha ill-allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)]." Verily, a clear proof (sign) from your Lord has come unto you; Page 16 of 32

so give full measure and full weight, and wrong not men in their things, and do not mischief on the earth after it has been set in order, that will be better for you, if you are believers. Prophet Solomon (PBUH), asks Bilqees, ruler of Saba, to become Muslim 27-26. Allah, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 27. [Sulaiman (Solomon)] said: "We shall see whether you speak the truth or you are (one) of the liars. 28. "Go you with this letter of mine, and deliver it to them, then draw back from them, and see what (answer) they return." 29. She said: "O chiefs! Verily! Here is delivered to me a noble letter, 30. "Verily! It is from Sulaiman (Solomon), and verily! It (reads): In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful; 31. "Be you not exalted against me, but come to me as Muslims (true believers who submit to Allah with full submission)' " 27-42. So when she came, it was said (to her): "Is your throne like this?" She said: "(It is) as though it were the very same." And [Sulaiman (Solomon) said]: "Knowledge was bestowed on us before her, and we were submitted to Allah (in Islam as Muslims before her)." 43. And that which she used to worship besides Allah has prevented her (from Islam), for she was of a disbelieving people. 44. It was said to her: "Enter As-Sarh" [(a glass surface with water underneath it) or a palace], but when she saw it, she thought it was a pool, and she (tucked up her clothes) uncovering her legs, Sulaiman (Solomon) said: "Verily, it is Sarh [(a glass Page 17 of 32

surface with water underneath it) or a palace] paved smooth with slab of glass." She said: "My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, and I submit (in Islam, together with Sulaiman (Solomon), to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)." Prophet Moses (PBUH), declared his people, the Jews, as Muslims 19-11. And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 19-12. "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 19-13. "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 19-14. "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance 10-84. And Musa (Moses) said: "O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims (those who submit to Allah's Will)." 10-85. They said: "In Allah we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing) (i.e. do not make them overpower us). 10-86. "And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk." Page 18 of 32

Prophet Jesus Christ (PBUH). And Disciples declared themselves as Muslims 5-111. And when I (Allah) put in the hearts of Al-Hawarieen (the disciples) [of 'Iesa (Jesus)] to believe in Me and My Messenger, they said: "We believe. And bear witness that we are Muslims." 5-116. And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?' " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is hidden and unseen. 5-117. "Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allah) did command me to say: 'Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things. (This is a great admonition and warning to the Christians of the whole world). 5-112. (Remember) when Al-Hawariun (the disciples) said: "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (M ary)! Can your Lord send down to us a table spread (with food) from heaven?" 'Iesa (Jesus) said: "Fear Allah, if you are indeed believers." 5-113. They said: "We wish to eat thereof and to be stronger in Faith, and to know that you have indeed told us the truth and that we ourselves be its witnesses." 5-114. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: "O Allah, our Lord! Send us from heaven a table spread (with food) that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a festival and a sign from You; and provide us sustenance, for You are the Best of sustainers." Page 19 of 32

5-115. Allah said: "I am going to send it down unto you, but if any of you after that disbelieves, then I will punish him with a torment such as I have not inflicted on anyone among (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns)." 19-30. "He ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allah, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;" 19-31. "And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salat (prayer), and Zakat, as long as I live." 19-32. "And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest. 19-33. "And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!" 19-34. Such is 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute). 19-35. It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allah, by saying that 'Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah]. Glorified (and Exalted be He above all that they associate with Him). When He decrees a thing, He only says to it, "Be!" and it is. 19-36. ['Iesa (Jesus) said]: "And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets)." [Tafsir At-Tabari] 19-37. Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about 'Iesa (Jesus)], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that 'Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah] from the meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire). Page 20 of 32

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), declared himself a Muslim 6-14. Say (O Muhammad ): "Shall I take as a Wali (helper, protector, etc.) any other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? And it is He Who feeds but is not fed." Say: "Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)." 6-162. Say (O Muhammad ): "Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 6-163. "He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims." 10-104. Say (O Muhammad ): "O you mankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islam), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship, besides Allah. But I worship Allah Who causes you to die, I am commanded to be one of the believers. 39-11. Say (O Muhammad ): "Verily, I am commanded to worship Allah (Alone) by obeying Him and doing religious deeds sincerely for Allah's sake only and not to show off, and not to set up rivals with Him in worship; 39-12. "And I am commanded (this) in order that I may be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (in Islam) as Muslims." 3-37. And whomsoever Allah guides, for him there will be no misleader. Is not Allah All-Mighty, Possessor of Retribution? 27-79. So put your trust in Allah; surely, you (O Muhammad PBUH) are on manifest truth.27-80. Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly Page 21 of 32

the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 270-81. Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). "Say: 'O People of the Book (i.e., Jews and Christians)! Come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah.' If then they turn back, say ye: 'Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).' (The Noble Quran, 3:64)" 10-105. "And (it is inspired to me): Direct your face (O Muhammad PBUH) entirely towards the religion Hanifa (Islamic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone), and never be one of the Mushrikun (those who ascribe partners to Allah, polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, and those who worship others along with Allah). 10-106. "And invoke not besides Allah, any that will neither profit you, nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers)." 10-108. Say: "O you mankind! Now truth (i.e. the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad PBUH), has come to you from your Lord. So whosoever receives guidance, he does so for the good of his own self, and whosoever goes astray, he does so to his own loss, and I am not (set) over you as a Wakil (disposer of affairs to oblige you for guidance)." 10-109. And (O Muhammad ), follow the inspiration sent unto you, and be patient till Allah gives judgment. And He is the Best of judges 10-99. And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed, all of them together. So, will you (O Muhammad ) then compel mankind, until they become believers. Page 22 of 32

10-100. It is not for any person to believe, except by the Leave of Allah, and He will put the wrath on those who are heedless. RELIGION OF ISLAM WAS ORDAINED BY ALLAH FROM PROPHET NUH, (PBUH), TILL THE LAST PROPHET MUHAMMAD, (PBUH). 42-13. He (Allah) has ordained for you the same religion (Islam) which He ordained for Nuh (Noah), and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad PBUH), and that which We ordained for Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus) saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no divisions in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion). Intolerable for the Mushrikun, is that to which you (O Muhammad PBUH) call them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides unto Himself who turns to Him in repentance and in obedience. Prophets were sent later to all nations with scriptures and religion of Islam. Mankind were one community but they differed because of following their own prophets 2-213. Mankind were one community and Allah sent Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, and with them He sent the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed. And only those to whom (the Scripture) was given differed concerning it after clear proofs had come unto them through hatred, one to another. Then Allah by His Leave guided those who believed to the truth of that wherein they differed. And Allah guides whom He wills to a Straight Path. Page 23 of 32

2-253. Those Messengers! We preferred some to others; to some of them Allah spoke (directly); others He raised to degrees (of honour); and to 'Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), We gave clear proofs and evidences, and supported him with Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)]. If Allah had willed, succeeding generations would not have fought against each other, after clear Verses of Allah had come to them, but they differed - some of them believed and others disbelieved. If Allah had willed, they would not have fought against one another, but Allah does what He likes. 2-256. There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. 2-272. Not upon you (Muhammad ) is their guidance, but Allah guides whom He wills. And whatever you spend in good, it is for yourselves, when you spend not except seeking Allah's Countenance. And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged. 2-284. To Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and whether you disclose what is in your ownselves or conceal it, Allah will call you to account for it. Then He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Able to do all things. 2-281. And be afraid of the Day when you shall be brought back to Allah. Then every person shall be paid what he earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly 2-269. He grants Hikmah to whom He pleases, and he, to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But none remember (will receive admonition) except men of understanding. Page 24 of 32

Everyone prefers to follow his fathers religion rather than the religion of the prophet of the time, i.e. Islam 31-21. And when it is said to them: "Follow that which Allah has sent down", they say: "Nay, we shall follow that which we found our fathers (following)." (Would they do so) even if Shaitan (Satan) invites them to the torment of the Fire. Jews insist that they will believe only in what was sent to them at the time of their Prophet Moses (PBUH), and will not believe which was sent to them later through prophet Jesus Christ (PBUH), and later on through prophet Muhammad (PBUH). (similarly Christians and all other religions in the world say the same thing) 2-91. And when it is said to them (the Jews), "Believe in what Allah has sent down," they say, "We believe in what was sent down to us." And they disbelieve in that which came after it, while it is the truth confirming what is with them. Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him to them): "Why then have you killed the Prophets of Allah aforetime, if you indeed have been believers?" Jews did not really believe in what was ginen to them by prophet moses and they started worshipping Calf when he went to mount Sinai. 2-92. And indeed Musa (Moses) came to you with clear proofs, yet you worshipped the calf after he left, and you were Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers). 2-93. And (remember) when We took your covenant and We raised above you the Mount (saying), "Hold firmly to what We have given you and hear Page 25 of 32

(Our Word). They said, "We have heard and disobeyed." And their hearts absorbed (the worship of) the calf because of their disbelief. Say: "Worst indeed is that which your faith enjoins on you if you are believers." Jews and Christians also blame each other for not being on the right path even though both claim to be following the books. ALLAH WILL JUDGE WHO WAS RIGHT or WRONG ONLY ON DAY OF JUDGMENT 2-2-113. The Jews said that the Christians follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); and the Christians said that the Jews follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); though they both recite the Scripture. Like unto their word, said (the pagans) who know not. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein they have been differing. 2-135. And they say, "Be Jews or Christians, then you will be guided." Say (to them, O Muhammad Peace be upon him ), "Nay, (We follow) only the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham), Hanifa [Islamic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allah (Alone)], and he was not of Al-Mushrikun (those who worshipped others along with Allah - see V.2:105)." 2-111. And they say, "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." These are their own desires. Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him), "Produce your proof if you are truthful." 2-170. When it is said to them: "Follow what Allah has sent down." They say: "Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following." (Would they do that!) Even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided? 2-171. And the example of those who disbelieve, is as that of him who shouts to the (flock of sheep) that hears nothing but calls and cries. (They are) deaf, dumb and blind. So they do not understand. Page 26 of 32

148. Those who took partners (in worship) with Allah will say: "If Allah had willed, we would not have taken partners (in worship) with Him, nor would our fathers, and we would not have forbidden anything (against His Will)." Likewise belied those who were before them, (they argued falsely with Allah's Messengers), till they tasted of Our Wrath. Say: "Have you any knowledge (proof) that you can produce before us? Verily, you follow nothing but guess and you do nothing but lie." 149. Say: "With Allah is the perfect proof and argument, (i.e. the Oneness of Allah, the sending of His Messengers and His Holy Books, etc. to mankind), had He so willed, He would indeed have guided you all." 150. Say: "Bring forward your witnesses, who can testify that Allah has forbidden this. Then if they testify, testify not you (O Muhammad ) with them. And you should not follow the vain desires of such as treat Our Ayat(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) as falsehoods, and such as believe not in the Hereafter, and they hold others as equal (in worship) with their Lord." Do the Jews and Christians want to say that Abraham,Issac,Jacob were jews or Christians. That cannot be true because they are predecessors of Moses and Jesus Christ. 2-140. Or say you that Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob) and Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)] were Jews or Christians? Say, "Do you know better or does Allah (knows better...; that they all were Muslims)? And who is more unjust than he who conceals the testimony [i.e. to believe in Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him when he comes, written in their Books. (See Verse 7:157)] he has from Allah? And Allah is not unaware of what you do." 2-2-141. That was a nation who has passed away. They shall receive the reward of what they earned, and you of what you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do. Page 27 of 32

Jews and Christians and all the other religions will be rightly guided if they believe in what the Muslims believe 2-137. So if they believe in the like of that which you believe, then they are rightly guided, but if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So Allah will suffice you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 2-41. And believe in what I have sent down (this Qur'an), confirming that which is with you, [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], and be not the first to disbelieve therein, and buy not with My Verses [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] a small price (i.e. getting a small gain by selling My Verses), and fear Me and Me Alone. (Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. I, Page 253). 2-42. And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth [i.e. Muhammad Peace be upon him is Allah's Messenger and his qualities are written in your Scriptures, the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] while you know (the truth). In spite of clear Message, The Jews and Christians corrupted the message and said that Allah has begotten a son Jews change Taura by adding their writings. 2-79. Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, "This is from Allah," to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby. Jews say Prophet Uzair (PBUH). is son of god and Christians say Prophet Jesus Christ, (PBUH), is son of god 9-30. And the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allah's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth! Page 28 of 32

10-68. They (Jews, Christians and pagans) say: "Allah has begotten a son (children)." Glory be to Him! He is Rich (Free of all wants). His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. No warrant you have for this. Do you say against Allah what you know not. 69. Say: "Verily, those who invent lie against Allah will never be successful" 70. A brief enjoyment in this world! - and then unto Us will be their return, then We shall make them taste the severest torment because they used to disbelieve [in Allah, belie His Messengers, deny and challenge His Ayat (proofs, signs, verses, etc.)]. 18-4. And to warn those (Jews, Christians, and pagans) who say, "Allah has begotten a son (or offspring or children)." 18-5. No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths [i.e. He begot (took) sons and daughters]. They utter nothing but a lie. 18-54. And indeed We have put forth every kind of example in this Qur'an, for mankind. But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything.. Jews hide the evidence of coming of The Last Prophet Of Islam. 2-76. And when they (Jews) meet those who believe (Muslims), they say, "We believe", but when they meet one another in private, they say, "Shall you (Jews) tell them (Muslims) what Allah has revealed to you [Jews, about the description and the qualities of Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him, that which are written in the Taurat (Torah)], that they (Muslims) may argue with you (Jews) about it before your Lord?" Have you (Jews) then no understanding? 2-77. Know they (Jews) not that Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal? Page 29 of 32

Jews and Christians recognized Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), but Concealed this information. 2-146. Those to whom We gave the Scripture (Jews and Christians) recognise him (Muhammad or the Ka'bah at Makkah) as they recongise their sons. But verily, a party of them conceal the truth while they know it - [i.e. the qualities of Muhammad which are written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)]. 2-147. (This is) the truth from your Lord. So be you not one of those who doubt. Jews and Christians think that only they will go to heaven. 2-111. And they say, "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." These are their own desires. Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him), "Produce your proof if you are truthful." 2-112. Yes, but whoever submits his face (himself) to Allah (i.e. follows Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism) and he is a Muhsin (good-doer i.e. performs good deeds totally for Allah's sake only without any show off or to gain praise or fame, etc., and in accordance with the Sunnah of Allah's Messenger Muhammad Peace be upon him) then his reward is with his Lord (Allah), on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. [See Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Vol.1, Page 154]. Jews false thought or desire that they will be in hell for few days, but God corrects it. 2-80. And they (Jews) say, "The Fire (i.e. Hell-fire on the Day of Resurrection) shall not touch us but for a few numbered days." Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him to them): "Have you taken a covenant from Allah, so that Allah will not break His Covenant? Or is it that you say of Allah what you know not?" 2-81. Yes! Whosoever earns evil and his sin has surrounded him, they are dwellers of the Fire (i.e. Hell); they will dwell therein forever. 2-82. And those Page 30 of 32

who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, they are dwellers of Paradise, they will dwell therein forever. BASIC ISLAMIC BELIEFS (VERSES 284 to 286) 2-284. To Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and whether you disclose what is in your own selves or conceal it, Allah will call you to account for it. Then He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Able to do all things. 2-285.. The Messenger (Muhammad ) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)." 2-286. Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. " Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people." Page 31 of 32
