OUR CHURCH FAMILY Corinne Meiste is having knee surgery on Monday, April 1. Pray it goes well and that she is able to make arrangements for Bob's care during all of this. Emersen June Wind was born to Nate & Sherri (Timmerman) Wind on Thursday, March 21. She weighed 7 lb. 3oz. and was 20 in. long at birth. Mother and child are well. Rejoice and thank the Lord with them. Let's continue to pray for Phyllis Schrotenboer, 'home again' at Vista Springs; for Wayne and Hazel Boeve, in their recent bereavement; and for Sarah Vandenberg and Ruth Koeman and Jun Langejans. Al Englesman, son-in-law of Annabelle Lubbers, is recovering from the recent stroke, which is encouraging. Pray that the tumors that brought on the stroke can be treated. Ravina Kruizenga's son Chad will be starting radiation and chemo treatment soon for a brain tumor. He has been experiencing some seizure activity that is related to the tumor and so we ask that the Lord will grant healing to him. ANNOUNCEMENTS This evening we welcome back Rev. Mark Douglas. Rev. Douglas comes to us from Bravo CRC in Fennville. In two weeks, Lord willing, on Sunday, April 7 we plan to welcome back Rev. Ren Broekhuizen during our evening service. Gather & Grow: You are invited to join us this morning for the Spiritual Gifts discussion on Discernment and Faith from 11:00-11:30 am in the East Gathering Room. We will Learn about, Reflect on, and Apply these gifts that we have been given. Hilltop News items are due today. Spring Break for all Catechism, Sunday School and Young Children in Worship - There will be no classes on March 31 and April 7 and again on April 21 for Easter Sunday. Parents, have you asked your kids what their Sunday School collection is going for this year? Ask them about the Buzzy Bee Bundles! Through World Renew, for every $118.00 collected we are able to provide a bee keepers protective clothing, a bee hive and a bee smoker.
Easter lilies will once again be sold as a fundraiser for $10 by the youth group. If you would like to purchase one or more this year, please fill out the slip located on the table and place it in the designated box with your money (cash or checks payable to "Graafschap Church Youth Group") by Sunday, April 14. Ladies: The GEMS girls will be hosting a Spring Tea on Saturday, April 27 at 10am. This event is for ladies and girls of all ages! You won t want to miss this fun morning. You can find more info about it in your mailbox. Please sign up in the back of church by April 14. Seniors: Mark the date of Tuesday, April 9. We will have a last breakfast here at church before pastor s retirement. Save the Date: There will be a retirement party for Pastor Stan on Tuesday, April 30. More details will be coming soon!! Graafschap Seniors: The sign-up sheet is out for the Blue Gate trip. This fun day includes a stop at Rise n Roll bakery, lunch and program at Blue Gate, and a stop at E & S bulk food store. The date is Thursday, May 23. There is more information at the kiosk. For the month of March the deacons are collecting supplies and food for My Brother s House III. You may place your items in the Can-In-Hand shopping cart near the elevator. Wendell Kimbrough will be playing a free concert in Dimnent Chapel (277 College Ave) - 7:00pm, this week Wednesday, March 27 - and all are invited. Wendell Kimbrough is a songwriter reimagining the Psalms for emotionally honest, modern worship. His songs are marked by strong singable melodies, steeped in the sounds of folk, gospel, and soul music. Wendell serves as artist-in-residence and worship leader at Church of the Apostles in Fairhope, Alabama.
