BOOK REVIEW The Ascetic Lives of Mothers: A Prayer Book for Orthodox Moms by Annalisa Boyd This book is full of the prayers my heart longs to pray but that my mind can t form in words. I have found a prayer for every phase and season of motherhood and of life in this book. Prayers for my children, our family, and for guidance for myself. The prayers are interwoven with the word of God and with wisdom from the saints. The result is so wonderfully inspiring and encouraging towards spiritual growth.
