I confess that I initially struggled with this feature article. As much as I really enjoyed working through the numerous iterations of the December Newsletter on the Red Road Gathering [RRG] with Izzy to ensure that the message she was communicating as accurate as I could; and as much as Izzy was patient and a great guide to what she contributed to the Feature article in the accompanying Newsletter featuring the Red Road Gathering, I spent the entire time wondering how to fit this into a December feature of the Beacon, which people would assume would be about the holiday season, or about Christmas for those who celebrate it. Then, after one of those meditations for which I am famous and notorious (because I slept through a lot of it), it dawned on me: Christmas and the story of the birth of a Messiah is about healing. Like the teachings of all masters, the teachings of Jesus focused on the simple truths of compassion, love, and kindness to others. In this sense, the Red Road Gathering is a good Christmas theme, because it too is about healing, love, compassions, and kindness. The teachings of the Lakota people for healing of the earth and the people who live on her are not a lot different, even if the words and traditions sound different to many of us. This is the focus of the Red Road Gathering Feature Article. I usually develop the Full Feature Article that usually appears along side the Beacon before I write content for the Beacon itself. Now, I struggled further about what to write about this in the Beacon this month. I then managed to engage in another interesting email exchange with my friend Izzy. While trying to learn more about her work and how she does it, be it in Winnipeg or at a healing gathering, the rest of the challenge of this article somehow sorted itself out. Now, I just needed to write out the connections. She described a session with someone I know at Aromansse, though no confidences or information were shared with me. When you continue reading, you will understand why. This helped me to understand more about how Izzy does her wonderful work and how it is seen or understood through her eyes. She is one of those people who does great work, but does not give herself too much credit. Like a true master, she attributes all healing she is able to affect to Spirit. TED Thanks for sharing this email discussion Izzy. I know your client since we were in classes and some workshops together. She is a very dedicated and hard-working soul. I have a great deal of respect for people like her. She is definitely, NOT a tourist. IZZY: I would not know her if I saw her; when I work with people in my treatment room, everything that happens there stays there; I would have a difficult time remembering Issue 04 2
what she even looked like! I can never remember a thing. But that is good because it is not mine to remember. TED: I suspected that your work was about helping people draw from themselves, but I always wonder how you pull off this magical and important feat. IZZY: By being very present and allowing spirit to do the work! TED: I know my meditations are sometimes meaningful and sometimes just frustratingly blank; I know too that there is a fear in me of finding out who I am for real, since often the answer may terrify me. IZZY: It is scary to realize how powerful we really are, and that is what you would find out!!! Scary stuff! We are then accountable for many, if not all of our foibles! If you could acknowledge that you are human, need sleep, need to pause and care for your self! You just might be able to flow. It is hard work, but once the intention is set, amazing things begin to happen. Many of us have the same disease: We do not see or appreciate ourselves. And so, my email exchange with Izzy had ended and I had what I felt was an important reinforcement of what Aromansse teaches (and what masters of numerous faiths have tried to teach us as well). It showed me what each of us can learn about healing ourselves, and others. I also thought about the significance of Khanukka, the Jewish festival of lights, that occurs around Christmas time, and how there may be a thread there too, since nothing is coincidental. The Torah tells us that Khanukka is about celebrating the rededication of the 2nd temple and about miracles too. Also, the word khanuk means to dedicate. My sense of it as an outsider is that, Khanukka is about healing a nation and its people and turning from the profane, and the mundane, (self absorption, worry, focus on personal and national difficulty) and choosing with intention toward healing, hope and rededication to what is sacred and holy on the level of individuals and as a people. As the great Sufi Muslim teacher, Rumi once wrote, There are many lamps, but only one Light. [Izzy made the connection to Rumi]. In this sense, the Christmas and Khanukka messages, and the message of the Red Road Gathering, and how Izzy helps people master their own lives, are all connected by common ideas or threads; these related ideas and spiritual directions are all about finding the dedication to healing, and the magic of our Spirit, which is the internal and eternal power we are all gifted with, but have somehow forgotten about. Nadia What is Lightbody? Services by Terri from the higher dimensions and like our physical body; it is a vehicle for our consciousness. Our physical bodies are gradually mutating and absorbing more Light. Our Lightbody is a gridwork of light and sacred geometry that bring together our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual being. Our body radiates light energy and this links us to the universe. As we activate, build and integrate our Lightbody we reorganize our molecular structure that allows us to be freer to express our self with the source of our Universe. The sacred geometry of the Lightbody is also called the Merkaba. In Lightbody/Axiatonal Alignment we will discuss the 12 layers of Lightbody as well as the sacred geometries within our Lightbody and learn how to align ourselves and others with the Axiatonal Lines of our Universe. Christmas, Hanukah, and the Winter Solstice are some of the ways that we celebrate Light at this time of year. But what is the Light we are celebrating? Celebrations are centered on the acknowledgement of the Source Light the Light of Creation. Our planet is going through the process of transition into higher frequencies of Light. This is a gradual process. We are not matter one day and pure Light the next. Our energy fields are being infused and realigned to Light gradually. The Lightbody is a structure of light Certification Phase I Lightbody/Axiatonal Alignment classes run on four Mondays December 12, 19 and January 2 and 9, 7:00 pm 9:00 pm. Recitation of a Mantra Merry Christmas From the Mat! It is said that 125,000 recitations of a mantra will bring mantra siddhi, the realization of a notable level of benefit from the mantra. While commentary is created in a spirit of playfulness, who knows, it might just have an effect to scroll down it one time through a page of thousands of Ohms. By holding down the "down arrow" key, it will scroll slowly through the 125,OOO OMs below. If you're really in a hurry to finish this visual japa (recitation) practice, hold down the "page down" key. Isn't it great to know that the single solution of one-pointedness is one of the highest antidotes to these problems! Remembering mantra is an age-old method for doing this. Whether you call it mantra japa or not, remembering the word, or repeating affirmations is a powerful tool. You can do it aloud, mentally recite or remember, or fill out a page of paper with written mantras--each of these ancient methods is effective in its own way. Or, just scroll down! J Ommmmmmm Ommmmmmmmm Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmm.. Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmm Namaste Serge In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali says that practicing one-pointedness of mind is the antidote (sutra 1.32) for nine different obstacles (sutra 1.30), including illness, procrastination, doubt, negligence, laziness, cravings, confusion, failure to do practices, and losing ground you've already gained. As if that's not enough, he goes on to say that these nine bring along four more obstacles (sutra 1.31), including pain, sadness, anxiety, and irregular breathing. Issue 04 6

Response to the Question of the Month from November 2011: Has anyone ever successfully used essential oils in winter to remove insects from plants in winter? From Brenda Treatment of Bugs on Plants If you do have a question, send it in to Ted@aromansse.com, or speak to your instructor about your question. Your question will be posted in an issue of the Beacon. The response or responses to your question will be posted in a subsequent issue of the Beacon of Wisdom along with your questions. Depending on the type of bugs that are present, it might be hard to eradicate them. It will take a concerted effort involving diligence and usually multiple applications of a safe product. I purchase many of my edible herbs and other indoor plants from an organic nursery called Sage Garden Herbs, located south of the perimeter off of St. Mary s Road.
