This is all about teachers HEDI scores. A site which gives your teachers access to their student growth scores, the factors that were considered, a glimpse of specific populations and how they did, and a gateway into data to begin to break down their own mean growth percentile (MPG) and HEDI score. AIR is the American Institute for Research and was awarded the contract for developing methodologies and measures for the student growth component of our APPR. The Growth Reporting System allows an authorized user to view in more detail the data provided in the reports districts received in August. Your role within the district and the user role assigned to you within the GRS determine the depth and breadth of the data you are authorized to view. Principals and District-Level users should use the same username and password that are used for the NYSED Application Business Portal system. Access to the Growth Reporting System (GRS) is available only to authorized users through the SED Delegated Account System (SEDDAS). Please go to the SEDDAS home page for more information about SEDDAS. For assistance with passwords, you may reset your password or find your district s SEDDAS Delegated Administrator by accessing the NYSED Business Portal and clicking on the "Reset Password" or "Forgot your password?" link in the upper right corner. Help: This button opens this User s Guide with information on where to find scores, what they mean, and how to navigate the Growth Reporting System. Print: Print allows you to print the screen you re viewing. District-level users and principals can print reports for all teachers at a school. Export: Export allows you to download the tables in the report into an Excel file to save on your computer. Anywhere on the site where you see a magnifying glass, you can click it to see more or less detail. For example, if you click the magnifying glass next to teacher, a pop-up box will appear. This pop-up box allows you to move up and down report levels and thus functions in place of your browser s back and forward buttons. MGP (Mean Growth Percentile) is the average of the SGP s (Student Growth Percentiles) of the students assigned to the teacher. Unadjusted: The students growth scores when compared to all students with the same previous score (used for school accountability). Adjusted: The students growth scores when compared to similar students with the same prior test score and other factors: English Language Learner (ELL) Economically Disadvantaged Student with Disabilities (SED). Calculate the number of students above the state median for ELA and Math. Could be used as the Local measure. Limits for math? For ELA? Less students greater variation in scores. Unadjusted and adjusted for ELA is the same. Of the 49 Economically Disadvantaged students 24 were above the state median.
