The Easter Vigil begins at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, March 31, with fire and the preparation of the Easter Candle and procession with lighted candles. This is a powerful and beautiful night and everyone should experience it sometime in their lifetime. Even the children get to carry a candle if they are allowed to do so by their parents; the Light of Christ is a comfort and blessing for our entire lives. At this Mass, you will hear Jamie Meyer s voice chant the Exultet and feel the connection of the thousands of other Roman Catholics hearing this in Catholic churches throughout the world. The Water for the baptismal font will be blessed and you will renew your baptismal promises and be sprinkled anew this night. The celebration of the Eucharist and a return to joyful music makes this night inspiring and memorable. The Knights of Columbus would like to thank all of you who attended and/or helped with our annual Fish Fry on Friday, March 16. We served about 250 people! We were grateful for our CCD students who helped serve; those who made desserts; our members who came to help serve, cooked and cleaned up to the very end! The good weather was a gift as well! Our first donation of $350 will go toward a new refrigerator for the church kitchen.
