The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is preparing to begin the fall sessions. If you ve been coming to Mass for a while, but are not Catholic, we invite you to look deeper into the Catholic faith. Or if you have been baptized but not confirmed, you, too, are invited. Come meet some faithful Catholics who love the Lord and would consider it a privilege to get to know you. Our parish will soon begin a set of sessions to share with others the truths of the Catholic faith and the fellowship of our church family. We invite you to learn what Catholics believe in an open and welcoming environment. These sessions also are opportunities for you to ask those perplexing and difficult questions you may have about the Church. Sessions are held on Sunday mornings at 8:30. The first session is September 8, 2018 in the Lourdes Room. Please give Marty and Sue Charney a call if you have questions or would like further information at 419-865-7252, or contact the Parish Office. To help make Baptism a truly meaningful ceremony, parents are asked to attend a Baptismal Preparation Class. This can be done before the birth of the baby. It is important for parents to understand the Sacrament, the ceremony, and the responsibilities that follow. The next Baptismal Prep Session will be August 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the Lourdes Room. To register for the class or to schedule a Baptism, call the Parish Office at 419-865-2345. All parents must take a class before their child is baptized. Tired of writing checks? It s not too late to sign up for automatic withdrawal for your contributions. Sign up forms are available in the parish office. We are happy to mail out a form to you if you wish. Lost and Found We have several small unclaimed items in the parish office such as keys, check register, glasses, etc. If you are missing anything, call or stop by the parish office to see if it might be yours.

LIVE THE LITURGY - INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK What can I do to accomplish the works of God? This is a question every Christian must ask. Ultimately, we are asked to be the light of Christ for others. This calls us to be compassionate, forgiving, nonviolent, generous, concerned for the poor, and welcoming to strangers. These are often contrary to what the world values. We are asked to simplify our lives and become less self-focused so that others can share in God's creation. We need help in order to fulfill this tall order. The Eucharist, the Body and Blood of Christ, which we celebrate today, is the way we are nourished so that we can fulfill this mission. 2018 PERCH, PEACH, PIEROGI AND POLKA FES- TIVAL SET FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival in Port Clinton, Ohio This year the fun filled event will begin on Friday, August 31st, at 4:00pm.
