On August 26 we will be welcoming a representative from Safe Families for Children, a volunteer-driven nonprofit that provides support to families in the community. If you are interested in foster care, or would like to learn more about Safe Families for Children, you can attend an informational meeting in the Refuge after the morning service. Interested in becoming a host family for a Northwestern College student? If so, contact Julie Andersen at juliekandersen87@gmail.com to get on the list! If you would like more info, please talk to Amber Leusink. Where s the beef?! As Wednesday night meals are quickly approaching, we are looking for individuals that would be willing to donate ground beef. Any little bit helps so please contact Nov Van Regenmorter if you are willing to donate or if you have any questions! The Maurice Women s Ministry will be hosting a Ladies Coffee for our Pastor s wife Stacy Hoekstra after the morning service on August 19. Please stop in the Fireside Room to join in a time of fellowship with Stacy! August 12 Church BBQ We will be having an all church BBQ on August 12. HOWEVER, we are still in need of volunteers! If you are willing to help serve, please sign up at the information center. In addition, we are also in need of anyone who would be willing to make bars. Bars can be brought to the catering kitchen. A new Bible study is coming to Orange City & we are in need of childcare volunteers! Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) is a worldwide Bible study, and this fall, a satellite location is starting in Orange City. It will meet on Thursday mornings from 10-11:30 am at Calvary CRC. We have had a tremendous response with over 80 women signing up, many of whom are young moms with little kids. We would like to provide nursery for the children so that their moms are able to study The Word freely, without interruption and come away being refreshed in the Lord! Are you able to volunteer your time on Thursday mornings to help? You would be an answer to prayers and a blessing to so many! If you re interested, please talk to Tracy Cleveringa (tracycleveringa@hotmail.com or 559-706-7183). STILL SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE AT THE BANQUET ON AUGUST 10. Please sign up at the information center. August s Special Offering: Whispers of Love, Hope & Joy (see Maurice Moments article for details). Please mark your envelope or check with Special and place it with your regular giving in the offering plate.

Please contact Jon Eveland if you are unable to attend, so you may receive the information. Youth Group Time Change (Beginning September 12) - This fall, we will be starting with two separate times for Jr. GAP & Sr. High. The new times are as follows: Jr. GAP 6:20-7:30 PM; Sr. High 7:50-9:00 PM With this new time structure, we know that there may be potential challenges that arise regarding transportation, especially for those with multiple children in different age groups. We want to help alleviate any concerns or stress with this and plan to utilize carpooling. If you will be needing assistance with transportation for your Jr. GAPpers or Sr. Higher on Wednesday evenings, OR if you are willing to help with carpooling and are able to give rides home for students in need, please contact Jon Eveland prior to the Youth Ministry Parents Meeting on September 5 so that the Youth Ministry Team can begin to organize transportation. We want to ensure that all students are able to participate in Youth Group, and do not want transportation to be a hindrance in students involvement in Jr. GAP or Sr. High. On another note, we will continue to have Wednesday Night Worship once a month. More information concerning this will be coming soon!
