CONGRATULATIONS TO NEWLY TRAINED ALTAR SERVERS: Julia and Olivia Pickens Tommy Sullivan Rich Rizzi Frank Slaina Loretta Lape Susan Eberle STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT: He said to the gardener, For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none. (Luke 13:7) We can all be like the barren fig tree at times. Do you cling to what you have or do you generously share with others? How will you respond when God asks you what you have done with all the gifts He has given you? Remember, not only are we called to be generous, we are called to develop and nurture our gifts and return with increase. VOCATIONS: Most likely, we will never experience God speaking to us in a burning bush. But he does speak to us in the quiet of our prayer where he places in our hearts his call for us. Do you feel God calling you to serve as a priest, brother, sister or as a deacon? If so, call Fr. Christopher Luoni at (330) 744-8451 or by email: cluoni@youngstowndiocese.org. That like Moses, young people will enter more deeply into conversation with the Lord in prayer as they seek to discover their vocations in Christ, we pray to the Lord. A Family Perspective Something to think about this week Lord, show me the way! by Bud Ozar The owner of the fig tree was impatient because the tree did not live up to his expectations. In families, there are those who don t live up to our expectations. Imitate the gardener and give them more time and help. Don t cut them out of your life. Love asks us to be connected, not productive.

Parish Mission Statement We are members of Saint Luke Parish, a Roman Catholic Christian Community of Faith within the Diocese of Youngstown. We are deeply rooted in both Scripture and Tradition. Born in Baptism and sustained by the celebration of the Eucharist, we embrace our life in Christ through prayer and sacrament, service and outreach, proclamation of the Word and formation in faith. Guided by the Holy Spirit and motivated by our love of God and of all people, we are both sign and an instrument of the Kingdom of Promise. Our unique blessing and gift is that we are a parish family which creates a warm and welcoming worship environment and participates fully in the planning and celebration of the Liturgy.
