James 5:7-8a HCSB Fellowship Bible Church Mission Team coming June 7th-20th We are grateful for the partnership we have had with FBC in Chagrin Falls, Ohio for over 25 years. They have come to Taiwan many times. Again, they (30) will share with several thousand students in schools, churches and other places. Pray that God would fully equip, prepare, transform and unite us in Christ now and as they are here. Pray for prepared hearts of teachers, students and others who God calls. Pray for the Spirit s power in all our lives; for unity, love, health, grace, safety, wisdom, responsive hearts of faith, endurance, joy and power. Monthly Meeting with the Venice City Housing Committee God reminds me many times to be faithful no matter how I feel at the moment. Mrs. Jiang, on my left, is a strong Christian and is being used in our community for Christ. She goes to Chung Shiao Presbyterian Church. They have around 1,000 members now. We remember when churches of this size were unheard of in Taichung. The others in the group are not saved. I have shared with each of them about the Lord in various ways. Pray that the growing number of Christians in our community would become even bolder, united and full of the Spirit s power and love to reach out to our neighbors with the saving Truth. Running into Pastor Peter Joe. Had been thinking of Pastor Joe several times last week and how it had been a long time not seeing him. Walla ran into him downtown. I first met Peter when he was a young man wanting to grow in Christ as we did outreaches together. He became an evangelist, then went to seminary and became a pastor. Now he has a missionary from the States working with him at Mwo Fang Shin Tswen Church. God is using him in very special ways. Hard to believe Laura and I have worked together with Peter for 27 years. Remember Pastor Peter Joe & family when you pray. HS Students at Da Ming School Each time I teach at Da Ming I pray that the Holy Spirit would give me opportunity to speak into the students lives. Today we talked about our lives and how none of us knows how long we have on this earth. I also shared that choosing to be thankful and joyful in life is a choice. It is hard but God can give real joy to us because Jesus died on the cross for our sins and receiving Him can give abundant full life & purpose. Candy, one student, a believer, was struggling, so after school I prayed with her about not letting the devil and her emotions rob her of joy or thankfulness. She is growing but needs our prayers.
