Immanuel is one of eight churches that provides volunteer services for 1 week at a time. The week involves accepting and sorting clothing, small household items and décor and children's toys and games. Proceeds from sales are distributed by the Thrift Shop Board to the churches involved and other local charities. Volunteering involves a 3 1/2 hour shift during the week. Each member receives a mite box to prayerfully collect money for mission project grants in the Missouri and National mission fields. Mites are gathered at monthly meetings in a worshipful setting and dedicated to the work of the Lord. All women of the congregation are invited to attend meetings on the 1st Thursday of the month from September thru June. We have a wonderful fellowship with spiritual growth to serve the Lord with gladness. Projects include:quilt tying, Christmas Bazaar in November, Prayer Day and salad supper and Mother- Daughter Banquet in May. Check the Pulse for meeting times.
