Hospitality is when we open our lives to others, welcoming them with sensitivity, attention and respect, so that they might find a place of comfort & belonging with us. We do this because that is what Jesus does for us. Outreaching hospitality is a vital ministry in a healthy congregation. Hospitality is Good News evangelism. The worship theme that began last Sunday is Extending the Table. o Jan 22 Risky Hospitality o Jan 29 Contagious Hospitality o Feb 5 Holy Hospitality NEXT SUNDAY begins a two-session Sunday School hour study and conversation about our hospitality ministry at FMC. What might outreaching hospitality look like for FMC in the next chapter with the next pastor? What can we dream? What is realistic? Plan to be part of this conversation. 2
