On the Journey at St. John s July 2016 St. John s United Church of Christ 538 E. Thomas St. Coopersburg, PA 18036 610-282-3310 Volume 17 Issue 6 If the only prayer you said was thank you, that would be enough. - Meister Eckhart Summer is in full radiant bloom. God s abundant gifts fill our lives: a vibrant rainbow of blossoms, the taste of succulent fruits and crisp vegetables, the symphony of birdsong, the scent of fresh grass and sweet roses, the kiss of sunlight on your cheek. Reminders of God s boundless blessings are all around. We hope you are inspired by our pulpit guests who are visiting during our Gifts of the Spirit worship series. We are grateful to our guests for offering heartfelt glimpses into the lives of those whom they serve. We hope you are uplifted in learning how your support through our benevolences helps change lives and make the world a better place. Thank you to: Rev. Faith Williams, Phoebe Ministries, Rev. Mary Catherine Cole, St. Luke s University Health Network, Sara Latshaw, Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, and a special thank you to Rev. Alan Miller, our PNEC Conference Minister, who offered inspirational words of encouragement on what it means to be a church.
