Woodland Christian High School is a vibrant Christian community of learning where the love of God is evident and where students will be equipped to serve in our society as followers of Christ. Next week our offering is for Christian Horizons. As an expression of Christian faith, Christian Horizons works together with people who experience disabilities to accomplish their goals and nurture communities where everybody belongs. Vouchers: Current vouchers will expire Dec 31, 2017. Please keep this date in mind when ordering voucher purchases. Vouchers purchased in December will have 2018 expiry date. Purchases can be made in the usual way using your budget envelope. At year end, if you still have 2017 vouchers, they can be exchanged for 2018 vouchers. MISSIONARY CORNER We recently received a Campus Notes newsletter from the Guelph Campus Ministry (James V and Sara D). Copies are available at the Information Centre. Please help yourself. COMMUNITY CHURCH NEWS Sunday School News: Sunday School will be taking a break for the next two Sundays (December 24 and December 31). All classes will resume on January 7. There will be colouring sheets available on December 24, 25 and December 31 that tie into the lectionary calendar. Please bring along some crayons or colouring pencils to keep your kids involved. Consistory met this past Tuesday, December 12, 2017. We welcomed to our fellowship Nicole F (8) from Palmerston Christian Reformed Church and Larry and Marjorie B (1) from Calvin Presbyterian Church in Kitchener. Welcome! Membership was transferred to Stratford Christian Reformed Church for Carolyn V and her son Drew (1). The elders approved Emma G (13) for Public Profession of Faith. We look forward to celebrating with her in the near future. CCRC's First Ever Advent Photo-a-Day Challenge: For each day of Advent (Dec 3-25), you are invited to snap a photo inspired by that day's word and share your photo via Facebook or Instagram using the hashtags #ccrcadvent and #(whatever the word is that day). Grab a postcard for more details from the Information Centre and deepen

your engagement with Advent this year! Note: Make sure that you mark your posts as "Share with everyone" instead of just "Share with friends" so that your posts are visible to all via the #ccrcadvent hashtag. CCRC go! Building Proposal/Pledges and Payments: On October 29 th we voted in favor of proceeding with the CCRC go! building project as proposed. In your mailboxes and via email, last week, you have received a pledge commitment form including an optional PAR form. You are encouraged to complete the PAR form at the same time as you fill out your pledges. Please return your pledge commitment forms as soon as possible to the Bookkeeper s mail slot (the deadline is January 15, 2018). Pledge payments can be made using your budget envelope or a plain envelope. Please be sure to indicate on either envelope the amount that is a pledge or Capital Growth Fund offering. Volleyball: All are welcome to join on the 1 st and 3 rd Tuesday of every month at 8:30 p.m. for fun and non-competitive volleyball. Student Impact High School Youth Thank you to the many youth who have volunteered to help plan and lead the Candlelight Service on December 24! Today, immediately following the service, all youth who are interested will be meeting with Pastor John in Classroom 1 to plan the service. Practice for the service will be held on Thursday, December 21 @ 7 p.m. Dress rehearsal will be held on Sunday, December 24 @ 5pm. Student Impact continued - Come on out on Wednesday, December 20 at 7 PM for our annual Christmas dinner and activities! The cost is $10 to cover food. Faith and Hops - Thursday, December 21 @ 6-8 p.m.: If you're a 20ish to 30-something looking for a place to connect and deepen your faith, come on out to Faith + Hops at Williamsburg Arms.
