Glory... magnificence, beauty, high renown or honor won by notable achievements. This album is designed first and foremost to celebrate the awesome glory of God His power, majesty and splendor, and His supreme authority in the earth. NCC s 2nd Edition Invited Again to Sing at the U.S. Capitol 2nd Edition once again sang before congressional leaders who were present at the 2016 Washington: A Man of Prayer event on April 27, 2016. Broadcast on the Daystar Network, this event brought men and women in some of our country s highest governmental positions together for the purpose of praying for our country. 2nd Edition not only sang selections for the prelude, but also sang back-up for Steve Amerson, billed as America s Tenor. It was both an inspiring and encouraging evening as members of the House and Senate led us in genuine and heartfelt prayer to God that we would be effective in bringing our country more in line with the Godly principles upon which it was founded. Kudos to 2nd Edition for giving of their time and energy to participate in this outstanding event! A Gift and a Challenge: Let s Rise to the Occasion! God has given the National Christian Choir a WONDER- FUL challenge which comes on the heels of a tremendous gift to the Choir. Very recently, a former Choir member made a significant pledge to contribute $50,000 annually to the ministry of the NCC! We are humbled and blessed by this act of generosity and want this blessing to challenge ALL of us to take a new look at what we might be able to contribute above and beyond what we ve been doing in the past. For the last five years, the Board of Directors, along with the Director of Music and Ministries Kathy Bowman, has worked diligently to bring the NCC s budget into balance. And while we have made significant strides in that direction, we have not yet been able to totally reach our goal. The $50,000 annual gift will take us a long way toward balancing our budget, but not all the way. That s where you come in. We need an additional $25,000 - $30,000 annually to reach our goal. We have cut expenses to the bare minimum and now we must increase donations in order to see the ministry operate in the black AND reach the potential that we know God has called us to. We are so appreciative of the endowment funds that were established several years ago for the Choir and are grateful that they have been there to help us overcome budget shortfalls. However, we would like to see those funds built up rather than used to meet operating expenses. While that is a permitted use of the funds, our desire is to operate based on ordinary income without tapping into the endowments. We are hoping that everyone who loves the NCC and feels inspired by its ministry, will take a new look at their giving and, with renewed zeal for what God wants to do through the Choir, make an increased effort to raise their contribution level to the Choir. The first $50,000 gift has already been received and the Choir s fiscal year ends on August 31st. Wouldn t it be wonderful if we could match half of that major gift by August 31 and make this year a first for having a truly balanced operating budget? $25,000 would get us very close to that point. Let s each ask God what He would have us give and then have the faith to follow His still, small voice as He speaks to our heart. Every gift is important to us small or large. With all of us working together, we will make great strides toward our realizing our goal. Chairman, NCC Board of Directors NCC at Saint Francis United Methodist Church in Cary on Saturday evening of our North Carolina tour. 5
