TriniTy Trumpet 2018 Volume 37, Issue 3 March 2018 Pastor Darryl Hoychick A MONTHLY PUBLICATION OF TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH, PINEVILLE, LA March is here and so is our Spring Revival! We are blessed to have Bobby and Lollie Ready to lead us during the Sunday through Wednesday meetings on March 18th-21st. Our Praise Team will lead in our worship but, the Readys will be providing special music. We will begin with Prayer meetings in the Fellowship Hall the week before the meeting, Mon-Friday, March 12th-16th at 6:00pm. On the Sunday of the Revival, we will have our traditional Covered Dish Lunch immediately after the service. Please make every effort to attend and bring guests who need the Lord or a church home. (This is the week after Daylight Savings Time begins, giving us plenty of daylight for driving home.) Last Sunday I took time to reveal a FIVE YEAR VISION for Trinity. To begin the work of reaching our goals we will use the following MIS- SION STATEMENT: Using Wisdom from the past and guidance from God s Spirit and His Word, we reach for tomorrow. While praying and seeking God s will for my ministry and Trinity s future I came upon this passage of scripture: Amos 9:11 "On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair it s damages; I will raise up it s ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old I believe God is using this to promise us that we will are ready to rebuild and move forward. The Bible shows us times when His work was stopped temporarily, as in the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem where opposition caused the work to be delayed 15 years before God sent the prophets Zechariah and Haggai to bring the people back to complete their work, which they did. The only way they accomplished this was doing it together and that is the only way we can rebuild and reinvigorate our ministry. These are the things we need to accomplish in the next Five years. OUR CHURCH FAMILY: OUR PROPERTIES: OUR MINISTRIES: Set up visitation teams Pay off building debt Expand Mexico Missions Rebuild Sunday School Utilize our buildings better Develop Mission Projects Increase baptisms Repave parking lot Increase CP giving Fill the building Find non conventional methods to reach people In the past we used the Vision Statement: LIVE LEARN LOVE LIVE LIKE JESUS, LEARN AS DISCIPLES, LOVE AS THE CHURCH That Vision Statement for the next five years is: RESTORE REFRESH REBUILD RESTORE OUR CONFIDENCE, REFRESH OUR COMMITMENT, REBUILD OUR CHURCH Increase Ministerial Staff Will you join us will you be a part of the rebuilding? These things are goals and you may be the very person to have the means to get it completed by personal visions and working together as a family. USING WISDOM FROM THE PAST AND GUIDANCE FROM GOD S SPIRIT AND HIS WORD, WE REACH FOR TOMORROW. TEACHABLE MOMENT The greatest revival I have ever been involved with was preceded by the greatest prayer meetings the week prior to the revival. God called different individuals to gather friends and family to their homes for prayer for the revival. That week we saw 25 professions of faith including some long prayed for family salvations. Those who got involved got blessed, those who did not got to watch others receive awesome results. Where will you be? Rejoicing in the response God provided to His people who prayed and believed or one of those who watched from the sidelines as others were being blessed! Join us, both in prayer and revival services!

Associate We have been making great progress with our fundraising efforts, and that is mainly due to our church Pastor family for continually supporting us! I just want to say thank you so much for all you do for us. Our next Jeremy Nunnally fundraiser is March 9th-10th, we will be having a garage sale. I would encourage to donate anything from clothes to furniture or just whatever you need to clear out while you begin Spring Cleaning. There will also be another plate lunch meal served after Sunday morning worship on March 25th for $7. Centrifuge is rapidly approaching and we are already looking forward to this life changing camp! This year s theme is The Mission. Students will study the life of Paul and his living on mission for Christ. The scripture focus for the week is, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8 Jesus followers have been carrying on the mission for almost 2,000 years, but it is not yet accomplished since nearly two billion people still have not heard the story of Jesus. Sharing the gospel to further His Kingdom is the ultimate reason He has left the church on earth. Join us for FUGE Camps June 11th-16th, 2018 as we study the life of Paul and discover how to live a life on mission for Christ. Deposits for camp is due NO LATER THAN MARCH 18th. We are having several fundraisers to offset the total cost of camp ($400.00) Most parents over the last several years only end up paying the deposit of $75 because the youth earn the rest through the various fundraisers. In His Service, Bro. Jeremy Welcome to spring! Well it s not officially spring yet but after the cold, wet winter (which we needed), it s always good to see new life and color springing up from the earth! You know, our lives are kind of like that being dormant, walking through life and church life but not really living an abundant life. Then one day, we return to our first love, Jesus, and we are full of life and color and can t praise God enough! Our prayer is that this new season will refresh and renew your first love! Speaking of renewing your first love, we are excited about our upcoming revival on March 18 th -21 st! Bro. Bobby Ready and his wife, Lollie will be leading us to revive our own hearts! They also sing and we will get to enjoy them sharing in song each service! Please begin to pray, starting right now, for God to do a work in you first and then let that spread to friends and family around you to get them there to hear the word and experience Jesus! That is our personal prayer, also! Trinity Worship The Dunlaps (Ronnie, Ellen & Caleb) March 9th-10th Friday & Saturday the Trinity Youth will have a Garage Sale in the T-Center at 7am until 12pm to earn money for FUGE 2018. Sunday, March 25th FUGE Fundraiser Meal in the T-Center $7 per person. Take out available. *ATTENTION* REMEMBER OUR MINISTRIES: *BUILDING FUND $10/MONTH *OPEN HANDS 1 FOOD ITEM/MONTH *OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD Please join us for our Wedding Naomi Robertson & Jacob Powell Saturday, March 17th at 5pm in the Sanctuary Reception to follow in the T-Center
