Lyndell Leatherman Festive Prelude on Truro, by Mary McDonald (You are invited to a time of quiet preparation for worship during the Prelude.) Ringing of the Bell Welcome and Informal Moments Choral Introit *Call to Worship L: Christ is risen! P: Christ is risen indeed! L: Yes, Easter Day may be past, but the joys and promises of Easter never pass away. P: With the joy of Easter in our hearts, we come to celebrate the cornerstone of our faith. L: We come to worship and serve the Risen Christ, who revealed to us and the world the powerful love of God. P: We gather as the faithful followers of Jesus. For Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! *Opening Hymn Come, You Faithful, Raise the Strain No. 204 Unison Prayer of Confession and Lord s Prayer Glorious God, we strive to live a life of faith founded in Jesus and we long to be your faithful people in the world. Still, we fall short. Forgive us when we put our faith in things of this world and not in you. Lead us in your ways as we seek to follow you solely. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Risen Lord, who taught us to pray saying, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us

this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Words of Assurance Anthem Alleluia Ed Harris Scripture John 20:19-31 Dianne Davis, reader Time for Children (The children will remain with their families during worship.) *Hymn We Walk by Faith and Not by Sight No. 424 Joys and Concerns Pastoral Prayer and Silent Prayer Choral Prayer Response Invitation to Offering Offertory Flute Tune Gregg Sewell *Doxology No. 44 Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen (As our morning offerings are brought forward, so too are the non-perishable food offerings from the basket in the Narthex for St. Philip's Food Pantry.) *Unison Prayer of Dedication Good and Gracious God, bless the gifts that we place before you. May the ministries they support be visible signs of your glory in our community and our world. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
