The movie takes an interesting vantage point of the events which took place over that first Easter weekend. Rather than telling the Easter story through the eyes of a believer, the film takes a look at the Cross from the eyes of a nonbeliever. To be honest, I am not completely sure what to expect from the movie, but it has given me reason to pause and reflect. If a movie was being made about my life, as told through the eyes of a nonbeliever, what would it look like? Do they see a man who is fully sold out to Christ, living life to the full, and sharing the joy found in Christ to a dying world or do they see something else? I know what I hope they see, but does my hope line up with reality? Staff SENIOR MINISTER Eric Bingaman CHILDREN S DIRECTOR OFFICE MANAGER CUSTODIAN Linda Kays OFFICE HOURS Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Friday 9:00-NOON SUNDAY Coffee & Donuts: 9:15 Bible Study: 9:30 Service: 10:30 Jesus taught us You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven Matthew 5:14,15 Easter is a great opportunity to examine our lives, make changes, and become a little more like Christ every day. As our culture grows increasingly dark, our light should shine increasingly brighter. I hope you will join us Easter morning for a family Easter breakfast followed by worship. It should be a glorious morning as we celebrate what Jesus did on the Cross for us!
ELDER CORNER: As spring is getting closer we await the newness that it brings. It may also be time for us to take a look at where we are spiritually. We are so grateful that we have a God who has chosen us before we were ever thought of here on earth. A God that loves us so much that he created all things for our hunger, clothing, shelter, enjoyment, and beauty as the list goes on and on. A God that loves us so much that he gave his only Son to be the sacrificed for our sinful lives. Clearly he has forgotten nothing! So, where are you at today? Are you onboard with Jesus? Do you understand that whatever happens to you from day to day is from God? Do you take what you would call a bad day or even tragedy and give God praise? Are you eager to praise God on what you would call a good or awesome day? Do you start your day by giving the Living Christ glory for the rest we had and telling him whatever he lets happen today I will accept and take it and give you praise and glory for it. If you can t say yes for these few examples then it is time for you to do away with the old spirit in you. It is time for you to let the spirit spring forth in your heart and mind and give Jesus the glory that is due him! We were created to spread the word of God to the people that don t know him. We are also to give God and Jesus all the glory praise and honor due them. This year grow something new in yourself. Put on the new man and renew your spirit in Christ. You will be surprised how life looks after putting on a new spirit and a new mindset. Life will be a true blessing when we learn how to let go of that old self will and self. Together we can help each other and make it happen! Russian Outreach Network & Impact Europe Impact Europe: Our church planting partner in Minsk, Belarus, recently shared that more people are choosing to follow Jesus with 15 being baptized recently through their church s ministry and a rehabilitation program they are engaged with. In addition, they are actively training up leaders for current and future church plants. Dima L. Shared: We continue our ministry school for our church planting movement. 40 students come to this school every Friday night. We pray that school launched in the fall 2014 and the current group of students will continue into the early summer. Later this spring, work will begin on a piece of property outside Minsk to renovate a modest building on it to use as a site for future leadership training, retreats and camps. This is just in the beginning stages and more funds are needed to complete it. Russian Outreach Network: We are excited to share the Hope Project has completed the land purchase in December and plans are now being drawn up to build a simple structure on it to house a team and become a place where ministry to this Muslim community can happen. Thanks to the ongoing partnership with VOM Canada (Voice of the Martyrs) in matching gifts and a generous gift from Hope Mission, we only need around $6,500 to be able to move forward with building. We hope to break ground for this in the spring. We also are seeking $1,175/month to support a team to serve there. Thank you for your part in bringing the hope of Jesus to this Muslim community and other vital outreaches to Russian -speaking communities and beyond. To learn more, please visit Impact Europe and Russian Outreach Network pages on our website www.impactministrygroup.org or send us an email. Also, there are several giving options mentioned online for your convenience. Scott LaRue Global Church Planting Russian Outreach Network & Impact Europe
