You created this world in beauty, and the resurrection means You will restore all good things and make all things right. Minister: Lift up your hearts! People: We lift them up to the Lord! Minister: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. People: It is right to give our thanks and praise. Minister: Almighty God, our Father, it is right always and everywhere to give You thanks and praise, for You created all things. You created us in Your own image so that we might freely choose to worship You. Even when we used that freedom to turn away from You and became enslaved in many ways, You remained the liberating God. You opened a path of freedom for all people. When the right time came, You sent Your Son, Jesus, to set the captives free. We look forward, in joyful hope, to sharing in the banquet of the Kingdom with Him. Therefore, with all the angels of heaven, with the faithful departed and with Your whole church around the world, we praise Your glorious name saying: All: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of Hosts, heaven and earth are full of Your glory, Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is Jesus who came and will come again in the name of the Lord. Minister: Come, Holy Spirit, take this bread and wine and make of them genuine signs of the body and blood of Jesus, so that we, feeding on Him, and trusting in Him alone, may be led from death to eternal life. These things we ask in, with and through our Saviour Jesus Christ, as we proclaim with joy, our faith: All: Christ has died! Christ is risen! Christ will come again! STUDENTS AT THE U OF R ARE SERVING THIS SPRING! This May-June, the Inter Varsity community at U of R is sending a team of 10 to serve at Alberta Pioneer Camp (Andrew Jackson and Fran Purvis are excited to be part of this team!) We will be helping keep the camp running and serving the public school groups that come through the camp. Our hope is to show these kids, teachers and parents the love of Christ through word and deed as we teach activities, serve meals and invite them to experience the awesomeness of creation. We re also excited at how this experience will grow us individually and as a team in our walk with God, as we serve and do life together in an intentional way for two months! How to support? Please pray for us as we leave April 30 June 30, for safety, great growth with God and one another, and for a lot of joy, love and energy for the two months! Each student is also raising $1500 for this partnership; if you would like to support this initiative let us know.
