HOPE s Easter Garden On Saturday morning, April 20th, HOPE's Easter Garden will be arranged. If you have flowers or plants to share, please bring them to HOPE on Saturday morning between 9:30-10:30. You will have an opportunity at that time to note if your flowers are "in honor" or "in memory" of a loved one. The names will be printed for an Easter Sunday bulletin insert. If you can't do the drop off on Saturday morning, you may leave your flowers or plants in the kitchen at any point during Holy week. Keith and Cara Getschel May 6th-Our Neighbors Place Community Night Our Neighbors' Place Community Night on May 6 from 3:00 9:00 p.m. at Milwaukee Burger Company in Hudson, where a percentage of the proceeds will go to Our Neighbors Place May 17th-Our Neighbor s Day Open House Our Neighbors' Day open house, free-will yard sale, and free picnic is May 17th 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The meal will be served from 4:00 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to Our Neighbors' Place for this event. River Falls Area Hospital Volunteers Bake Sale Friday, April 19th "The River Falls Area Hospital Volunteers (aka: Auxiliary) is having their annual Good Friday Pie Sale fundraiser at the First National Bank lobby in River Falls from 10:00 am until all sold out. There will be a wide variety of made-with-love pies for only $15.00!"

Evening Book Group Is meeting at 7:00, Monday, April 29th in Eidskog Room Milo and Betty Lou Oppegard are our hosts and they have decided to host the gathering at Hope Lutheran because Milo will be showing a video on the topic of GLOBAL WARMING and the larger screen and equipment will make for better viewing. Our discussion will focus on the book A Global Warming Primer - A slim volume of about 100 pages that covers all the basic issues of our changing climate in an easy-to-read question-and-answer format. The questions match those I have been asked many times by nonscientists and include the common arguments challenging human causes of climate change, as well as its impacts.) Because of the video presentation, purchasing the book is optional this month, but the book is available from Abebooks.com as well as Amazon if you choose to order a copy for yourself. An Additional recommended resource is An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore. Daytime Book Group Is meeting at 12:00, Monday, April 22nd in the Eidskog Room. The book for April is The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, bestselling author of The Nightingale. Alaska, 1974. Unpredictable.
