Please Enter in Silence DRAMATIC READING The followers of Jesus on the first Easter morning came to his tomb expecting nothing more than the final opportunity to prepare Jesus body for the sleep of death. His burial on Good Friday had been done in haste; now they would be able to take ample time for proper preparation of their beloved Master s body according to their burial customs.

5 He lives to silence all my fears; He lives to wipe away my tears; He lives to calm my troubled heart; He lives all blessings to impart. 6 He lives, all glory to His name! He lives, my Jesus, still the same; Oh, the sweet joy this sentence gives: I know that my Redeemer lives! You have given us the light of the World who drives away all shadows of sin and evil. APOSTLES' CREED C I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life T everlasting. Amen. PRAYERS & LORD'S PRAYER C Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. BENEDICTION Let us take the joy of the resurrection into all we do. Through the hope of the resurrection, Lord, free us from our burdens of sin and fear. Fire us with your Spirit of new life that our living may bring your rule into our world and share your perfect love with all people. Send us forth to live and proclaim your victory, O God, through Jesus Christ, our risen Lord! The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face to shine upon you. The Lord look upon you with his favor and grant you his peace. Amen.
