Through watching segments of the movie Dirt! and hearing the stories of our faith that discuss dirt the children had a chance to look more deeply into the importance of dirt in the past, our lives and the life of our planet as we move forward in time. We face a major change in the life of our planet. It will not be possible to continue to consume as we have. There is a need to learn to nurture our resources and become sustainable. Thursday reation - a odly Play story Special points of interest: are for the dirt. Have fun with dirt. Dirt is a part of our faith. In the beginning there was.nothing. Then on the first day, od gave us the gift of light. So now there is not just darkness, but there is light and dark. When od saw the light od said, It is good, and that was the end of the first day. On the second day, od gave us the gift of water. od gave us the gift of all the water that is water. This is the water that all the rest of the water comes from. od put the firmament between the waters above and the waters below, to separate them. When od saw the water, od said, It is good, and that was the end of the second day. On the third day, od gave us the gift of the dry land. od divided the water and the dry land, and gave us the gift of the green and growing things. od said, It is good and that was the end of the third day

There was once someone who did such amazing things and said such wonderful things that people followed him. As they followed him, they heard him speaking about a kingdom. When they asked him, What is the kingdom of heaven like? he replied. The kingdom of heaven is like a sower, someone who scatters seeds. Some fall among the stones, some fall among the thorns. The sower also sowed seeds in the good earth. When the seeds pushed their little roots down into the good earth, they grew and grew. When they were ripe for harvest, they were cut off and gathered up. The harvest was thirty, sixty and one hundred bushels. The Blind Man, Baritmaeus by Barbara Lindsay Faith can heal. A blind man was sitting by the road. He heard people coming. There was much excitement as people said the rabbi with them could heal. The blind man asked the rabbi for help. The people around him ask whose sin was the blind man paying for. Jesus said the man was blind so that od s work could be shown. Jesus spit on dirt he picked up, made mud and rubbed it on the man s eyes. Jesus told him to go to the pool of Siloam and wash. The man was confused and excited. He trusted Jesus and washed as he was told. Outreach to Matthew 25 Ministries aring for our dirt is important as is caring for those in need. The children decorated brown paper lunch bags and filled them with personal care products to be donated to Matthew 25 Min- istries. Personal care items were brought in by the children. The dental care items were donated by Dr. harles Judge, DDS and his staff.
