With proof of notice properly posted and a quorum being present, Dave Sampson, called the meeting to order at 9:32 a.m. in the Plantation Clubhouse on 871 Chalmers Drive, Venice, FL 34293. Present: Dave Sampson, President; Jack Myers, Vice President; and Bradley Dawson from Argus Management of Venice, Inc. Via Phone: Richard Hopkins, Secretary/Treasurer Absent: None Owners Present: Frank Robinson, and Dorothy Paquette. Minutes 4/17/2014: The Minutes dated 4/17/2014 were read and with no changes required, Jack Myers made motion to accept the minutes as presented and was seconded by Richard Hopkins. Vote: (3) Yes (0) No Financial Report: Richard Hopkins reported: Officer Reports: President: Dave Sampson reported: Vice-President: Jack Myers reported: Secretary/Treasurer: Richard Hopkins reported: Old Business: Dividing the water bill - Frank Robinson asked about the possibility changing the water bill so that each unit owner is responsible for his or her own water usage. Richard Hopkins stated that the matter had been previously researched and because of the cost of placing new water meters in the 6-plex building, it was decided not to divide up the bill. Dave Sampson stated that also, that while yes, some months, some people use more water, when those same residents move back to their other homes, they still have to pay a premium and it evens out. Bushwacker bid - Richard Hopkins asked where the Association was at with the bid for the invasive carpet grass removal and whether or not it was Bushwacker s fault for submitting a bid so late. Bradley Dawson stated that he had been in contact with Tonya from Bushwacker and did not believe that the fault was with Bushwacker but instead was the fault of Antares Group for not staying in contact with the company. Dave Sampson told him that there were a couple places that he had looked into that could provide temporary storage but further follow up was needed. Frank Robinson asked what would be done about the replacement of the grass. Dave Sampson stated that once Richard Hopkins had a chance to review the bid from Bushwacker, the Board of Directors would make a decision.
