You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. You search out my path and my lying down. Where can I go to flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven All: You are there. One: If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, All: Even there your hand shall lead me and your right hand shall hold me fast. One: For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother s womb All: I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made in your image. *Opening Hymn #459 (BH) Come, O Fount of Every Blessing Children s Time (Children ages 0-4 years old are welcome in the nursery.) Meals 4 Kids: The next opportunity for volunteering for Meals4kids is Tuesday, November 28 th at 6pm. Safety Measures: Outside doors around the building will be locked between Sunday School and Worship. Our front doors will remain open. An ad Hoc safety committee has been formed and will be meeting soon. If you have concerns or ideas about the issue of safety for our community; please contact Todd Chapmon, Chair of this committee. Holiday Office Hours: Shirley will be in the office on Tuesday, November 21, for the entire day. This will be the only day she will be in for the week of Thanksgiving so she will be printing the bulletin on this day. The church offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. There will be no set hours for Friday, the 24 th. In case of an emergency, Pastor Lynne can be reached on her cell phone. Offering Envelopes: Offering envelopes for 2018 will be available in the next few weeks. If you do not have envelopes and would like them please contact the church office and Shirley will assign you some. Poinsettia Fund: Due to the overwhelming success of our change in tradition in 2013, we are not going to order poinsettias again this year but are going to give you an opportunity to donate money in memory or in honor of your loved ones. The funds collected and placed in the Poinsettia Fund will be divided between Urban Ministry and the Meals4Kids Mission. An insert will be placed in the bulletin on Sunday, December17th, listing the names of the memorials and honorees. Instead of purchasing a poinsettia, we hope you will donate $10 towards this worthy cause. Please turn in your donations and completed forms to the office or place in the offering plate by Sunday, December 10 th. The form is inserted in the bulletin this week. Blessing Bag Ministry: It is that time of year again, when the cold chilly weather hits our area. For the season, we have added a few items to our wish list for our "Blessing Bag Ministry" request. Please remember when you are out and about, catch them on sell, etc. These can be dropped off box in the designated bin, located in the Education Building of the church. Thanks! Can you help us give the gift of warmth to someone in need? Donation of Clothing for Homeless: In order to streamline the collection of clothing for the homeless, we need to put a process in place. 1.) Clothing needs to be clean as the homeless do not have access to launder the items. 2.) We only need gently used adult clothing. 3.) Donations will be accepted on the 2 nd and 3 rd Sunday of each month between 9:30 am and 10:45 am outside the Meals for Kids/Blessing Bag room which is located next to the walk-in freezer in the old fellowship hall. 4.) A receipt will be given for your donation when the items are dropped off. We greatly appreciate your donations and help keeping organization in this process.
