I John 2:1 1 MY little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: Matt 4:2 2 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Matt 5:2 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Matt 6: (to :),12,14,15 12 14 15 After this manner therefore pray ye: And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
2 of 8 4//201 4:01 PM Matt 5:17-20,4-48 17 1 20 4 44 45 46 47 48 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Mat 7:1-5 1 2 4 5 JUDGE not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother s eye.
of 8 4//201 4:01 PM John 8:1-11 1 2 4 5 6 7 8 10 11 JESUS went unto the mount of Olives. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. John 5:17 My,0 0 My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. Heb 10:16,17 16 17 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
4 of 8 4//201 4:01 PM Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy 5:2-25 24 Such an error would impede true religion. Sin is forgiven only as it is destroyed by Christ, Truth and Life. Cancellation of human sin 6:1 (only) We cannot escape the penalty due for sin. 27:12-1 The way to escape the misery of sin is to cease sinning. There is no other way. 568:1 (only) Innocence and Truth overcome guilt and error. 6: 21 To suppose that God forgives or punishes sin according as His mercy is sought or unsought, is to misunderstand Love and to make prayer the safety-valve for wrong-doing. Mercy without partiality 405:22-27 27 24 It were better to be exposed to every plague on earth than to endure the cumulative effects of a guilty conscience. The abiding consciousness of wrongdoing tends to destroy the ability to do right. If sin is not regretted and is not lessening, then it is Cumulative repentance
5 of 8 4//201 4:01 PM hastening on to physical and moral doom. 11:1-10 6 Without punishment, sin would multiply. Jesus prayer, Forgive us our debts, specified also the terms of forgiveness. When forgiving the adulterous woman he said, Go, and sin no more. A magistrate sometimes remits the penalty, but this may be no moral benefit to the criminal, and at best, it only saves the criminal from one form of punishment. The moral law, which has the right to acquit or condemn, always demands restitution before mortals can go up higher. Remission of penalty 17:6-7 forgive forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And Love is reflected in love; 6:-5 Divine Love corrects and governs man. Men may pardon, but this divine Principle alone reforms the sinner. Pardon and amendment 1:6,17-24 24 21 Jesus aided in reconciling man to God by giving man a truer sense of Love, the divine Principle of Jesus teachings, and this truer sense of Love redeems man from the law of matter, sin, and death by the law of Spirit, the law of divine Love. Every pang of repentance and suffering, every effort for reform, every good thought and deed, will help us to understand Jesus atonement for sin and aid its efficacy; but if the sinner continues to pray and repent, sin and be sorry, he has little part in the atonement, in the at-one-ment with God, for he lacks the Efficacious repentance
6 of 8 4//201 4:01 PM practical repentance, which reforms the heart and enables man to do the will of wisdom. 20:14 15 21 Jesus bore our infirmities; he knew the error of mortal belief, and with his stripes [the rejection of error] we are healed. Despised and rejected of men, returning blessing for cursing, he taught mortals the opposite of themselves, even the nature of God; and when error felt the power of Truth, the scourge and the cross awaited the great Teacher. Yet he swerved not, well knowing that to obey the divine order and trust God, saves retracing and traversing anew the path from sin to holiness. Perfect example 266:1 15 Friends will betray and enemies will slander, until the lesson is sufficient to exalt you; for man s extremity is God s opportunity. The author has experienced the foregoing prophecy and its blessings. Thus He teaches mortals to lay down their fleshliness and gain spirituality. This is done through self-abnegation. Universal Love is the divine way in Christian Science. 2:1-5 Wisdom and Love may require many sacrifices of self to save us from sin. One sacrifice, however great, is insufficient to pay the debt of sin. The atonement requires constant self-immolation on the sinner s part. Justice and substitution 22:0-1 Justice requires reformation of the sinner. Mercy cancels the debt only when justice approves.
7 of 8 4//201 4:01 PM 461:16 21 24 27 0 If you believe that you are sick, should you say, I am sick? No, but you should tell your belief sometimes, if this be requisite to protect others. If you commit a crime, should you acknowledge to yourself that you are a criminal? Yes. Your responses should differ because of the different effects they produce. Usually to admit that you are sick, renders your case less curable, while to recognize your sin, aids in destroying it. Both sin and sickness are error, and Truth is their remedy. The truth regarding error is, that error is not true, hence it is unreal. To prove scientifically the error or unreality of sin, you must first see the claim of sin, and then destroy it. Whereas, to prove scientifically the error or unreality of disease, you must mentally unsee the disease; then you will not feel it, and it is destroyed. 41:1 6 A moral question may hinder the recovery of the sick. Lurking error, lust, envy, revenge, malice, or hate will perpetuate or even create the belief in disease. Errors of all sorts tend in this direction. Your true course is to destroy the foe, and leave the field to God, Life, Truth, and Love, remembering that God and His ideas alone are real and harmonious. 404:12-15 15 If the evil is over in the repentant mortal mind, while its effects still remain on the individual, you can remove this disorder as God s law is fulfilled and reformation cancels the crime. 47:6-12 12 Christ came to destroy the belief of sin. The Godprinciple is omnipresent and omnipotent. God is every-

Christ is the ideal Truth, that comes to heal sickness and sin through Christian Science, and attributes all power to God. 106:7 God has endowed man with inalienable rights, among which are self-government, reason, and conscience. Man is properly selfgoverned only when he is guided rightly and governed by his Maker, divine Truth and Love. Proper self-government 21:1-5 If Truth is overcoming error in your daily walk and conversation, you can finally say, I have fought a good fight... I have kept the faith, because you are a better man. This is having our part in the at-one-ment with Truth and Love.
