Ebenezer Lutheran Church Port Hudson The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod 9100 Highway YY Leslie, Missouri Parsonage 573-459-6432 Church 573-459-6431 Rev. William F. Zastrow, Pastor Mary Sprick, Secretary ebenezerlutheran@hotmail.com ebenezerlutheranchurch.wordpress.com AS WE GATHER: Much like He did for Abraham and Sarah, announcing to them that they would have a son, and much like He did for Martha and Mary, teaching them what is ultimately necessary, the Lord enters into your midst today! Jesus is here! Your Savior is in this place, in this service of worship, in this house to feed you with the gifts of His mercy and to serve you with His forgiveness. As we gather together by His Word and Spirit, His service to us will change us as together we receive Him. His saving work will inspire us, once again, to depart in His peace and to serve others in His love. PRAYER BEFORE WORSHIP: Lord God, knowing You is the one thing needful for life and salvation. Grant us willing hearts to receive what You have to give that we may serve others as You have first served us; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. THE DIVINE SERVICE DIVINE SERVICE I, page 136 HYMNS: 507, 279, 241, 239, 242 2
