VIRTUE IN CHRIST SERVICES SUMMARY Virtue in Christ Services Summary LADIES RETREAT Virtue in an Age of Promiscuity is a retreat designed for ladies and girls to discuss, appreciate, and internalize the character of virtue in their relationships and in their daily lives. Acknowledging that virtue is a trait that is developed and is learned over a lifetime, this retreat is purposed to serve as an introduction for some, a reminder for others, and guidance for all ladies and girls to strive for the qualities that reflect virtue. The Virtue ladies retreat is important because ladies of every age should aspire to virtue. In today s society, surrounded by excessive sexuality in all forms of entertainment and media, all Christians should want more than anything to be connected to God and His Son, Jesus Christ, so we can be strong and steadfast in our walk with Christ. This ladies day event is designed to meet the needs of introducing, encouraging, validating, and strengthening the necessity of virtue in our everyday lives as a means to combat the images and propaganda we are subjected to daily. The Virtue ladies retreat commences on a Friday evening with an informal icebreaker opening devotional where attendees can get to know each other, worship together, and hear a message from God s word as an introduction to the next day s messages and workshops. Saturday begins and ends with devotional worship and a message from God s word. Up to seven (7) workshops are offered on topics relevant to the event theme. Dessert is served on Friday, and breakfast and lunch are served on Saturday.
