CHRISTIAN BAPTISM. The Meaning of... Manna Publications Written by Fred Morris

A Journey with Christ the Messiah It's Sunday but Friday is Coming

Transcription:

This is my Book........................................... Manna for Children Jesus is coming again for all who love Him JESUS IS ALIVE His tomb is empty The trumpet will sound... the sun will go out... the stars will fall from the sky... when Jesus comes with millions of angels for you and for me. Everyone will see Jesus coming in the clouds with great power and glory... Mark 13:26. His angels will gather all the boys and girls from all over the world who believe this. Jesus will take them home to Heaven. JESUS IS ALIVE by Manna Publications (USA) Inc. Copyright 2008 by Lorna Morris. Art by Virginia Manson. www.mannapublications.org Text must not be altered without permission. 2.6.2009

Jesus kept telling the disciples that soon they would not have him with them. They did not understand. What does He mean? I am going to go back to my Father in heaven very soon. 2 JESUS IS ALIVE! You must go and tell everyone about me. The angel said: This same Jesus will come back in the same way you have seen him go to heaven. Why are you looking up into the sky? 15

Jesus told the disciples to stay in Jerusalem. Suddenly He appeared in the room with them. 3 Lord, we locked all the doors and windows. We are so afraid. Lord, is it you? My peace be with you? 14 Jesus told these men that in a few days He was going back to Heaven to be with His Father... and they were to carry on His work. Mark 16:14,15. God bless you Jesus sent two disciples to the village to find a donkey. They found the young donkey just where Jesus said he would be. (Matthew 21:2-6).

Jesus was going to ride into Jerusalem. The people went out to meet Him. Hosanna! Hossana! 4 The people threw down palm branches for Jesus. This showed their respect and honour. That day two of Jesus disciples decided to go to another town. A stranger joined them. They did not know it was Jesus. Luke 24:14-31 You look so sad. What were you talking about? Don t you remember? That Isaiah said this would happen? Isaiah 53:11 13

That night there was an earthquake. An Angel from heaven came and rolled back the stone. Matthew 28:1-6. Don t weep Mary. Jesus is not here. He has risen just as He said. Come and see. 5 One week later Jesus gathered with the twelve disciples in an upper room for a special meal. Judas, one of the disciples left but no one knew why. Only Jesus knew why. Where is He? 12 Where have you taken Him? I want to eat this Passover meal with you before I suffer. (Luke 22:14-20).

After Judas left the upper room he sold Jesus to the religious rulers for 30 pieces of silver. He knew where Jesus was. John 18:2-8 Hail, Master 6 Judas gave Jesus a kiss! This was the sign the soldiers were waiting for. They buried Jesus in a cave. The Roman Governor ordered the soldiers to roll a big stone to cover the entrance to the tomb. We don t want His disciples coming to take Him away when we are not watching. 11

7 The sign on his Cross read: This is the King of the Jews. John 19:19 Father, into your hands I give My Spirit. Jesus have mercy on me. Why don t you save us? 10 When Jesus cried, It is finished, the sun went dark for three hours. Matthew 27:45 They arrested Jesus. They took him to the Roman Governor in the middle of the night. Matthew 27:11, Luke Chap 23. I demand you tell me if you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God? Kill Him!! Yes, it is as you say! Crucify Him

Peter followed at a distance. He had boasted that he would never deny Jesus. You were with this man. I saw you. I do not know this man 8 As Peter warmed his hands by the fire.. He had denied Jesus. Jesus was not guilty but the soldiers took Him away to be crucified anyway. They beat Him. They spat on Him. They insulted Him. They treated Him like a criminal. They made Him carry His own cross. It was very heavy John 19:16-18. A large number of people followed. The women wept for Him. They loved Him so much. They could not understand why this was happening. (Luke 23:27). 9
