We are at 10% of our goal. Once a year, we are asked to make a commitment to support the work of our diocesan programs and ministries that provide services that no one parish could provide on its own. This effort is a means by which we can all work together to share the wonders of God with all those who seek Him. St. Joseph s Table Many years ago in Italy they had years of famine. The people prayed to St. Joseph to give them a good harvest and promised to share the bounty with everyone. They had a good harvest that year and made food from what the fields produced and invited everyone into their home to share. Therefore a meatless meal was shared by all. St. Joseph s Table is celebrated to honor and give thanks to St. Joseph for that wonderful harvest. MASS & POTLUCK DINNER Monday, March 20th there is a special Mass at 5:00pm followed by a Potluck Dinner to celebrate St. Joseph. Everyone is invited. Families whose last name starts with: A-J bring salads, bread or fruit K-R bring dessert (cake, cookies, etc.) S-Z bring meatless main dish Bring enough to serve 15-20 people. May the peace, love and protective hand of St. Joseph guide your life and the lives of those you love and cherish. Middle School youth (grades 6-8) Tues., Mar. 7 Down in the Dumps An Issues Night on Recognizing the Causes of Depression and Suicide. Six million children under the age of 18 suffer from clinical depression. Thousands of others experience less severe bouts of depression - but because they do not seek treatment no statistics are available on these children. Two hundred children under the age of 12 commit suicide each year in the U.S. Experts believe that as many as twelve thousand youngsters attempt suicide each year. The rates for teenagers are staggering. This is a serious issue in the lives of our children. This evening looks to make them aware of depression, the symptoms, its link to suicide, the possibility of successful treatment and where to look for it. For more information contact Christine at 480-982- 2929 ext. 17.
