Introduction to The Doctrine of Reconciliation Isaiah 53 Isaiah 53:12 12 Therefore, I (God the Father) will allot Him (JESUS CHRIST) with the many (all those who believe in Him) And He will allot the booty with the strong; His reward will be all those precious souls He redeemed Because now we have 3 reasons stated here WHY GOD WILL REWARD JESUS CHRIST BY GIVING HIM EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM AS SAVIOR. (1) He poured out His soul to death Introduction of the Doctrine of Expiation: Death of the soul of JESUS CHRIST refers to His unique death, (2) Next we have a Second reason: And was numbered with the transgressors; Which introduces the Doctrine of Redemption. (3) Now we come to the third reason from Divine perspective. Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, Doctrine of Atonement. 2016-11-20 Sunday Handout Spring Valley Bible Church, Pastor Herman H. In verse 11 The Doctrine of Propitiation Satisfying the Perfect Righteousness (+R) of God. Then we had the Doctrine of Justification in verse 12. The Doctrine of Expiation, and Redemption and now Atonement. And interceded for transgressors Doctrine of Reconciliation. Triple Compound Verb: apokatallasso (apo) preposition of Ultimate Source (generally) Then: The preposition kata introduces the norm and standard. Then the verb allasso to change or alter. Putting it all together, it means to transform someone or something according to a norm or standard from the ultimate source of someone else; It is difficult to put all of this together into a simple English statement. But we will try: to restore to favor that He might Reconcile or restore to favor This is what JESUS CHRIST did on the cross during the last 3 hours of the six hours when JESUS CHRIST was on the cross. These three hours were devoted to fulfilling Reconciliation or removing the barrier between man and God. Reconciliation is the first work of God from which man Benefits Eternally. 2016-11-20 Sunday Handout Spring Valley Bible Church, Pastor Herman H. Mattox, Th.M. Page 2
Which Member of the Godhead tore the wall of separation down? The Second Member JESUS CHRIST. Which Member of Godhead revealed it to you? God the Holy Spirit. Which Member of the Godhead loved you so much that He made this plan? God the Father. What do I do for Reconciliation? Nothing simply believe in JESUS CHRIST as Savior. This is how easy God has made it simply Believe In The Member Of The Godhead! God made it simple otherwise there would be no New Spiritual Creation. For fallen man can do nothing but believe in the Member of Godhead and this sets the pattern on how a New Spiritual Creation regains Spirituality. If he-or-she has fallen into sin nothing we can do but to trust in the work of a Member of the Godhead. 2016-11-20 Sunday Handout Spring Valley Bible Church, Pastor Herman H. Mattox, Th.M. Page 3
If we could just see and understand the Love of God. His love does not, cannot not, counter His (+R) Perfect Righteousness. But His Love provided a simply way to Reconciliation. His Love and Grace and Mercy. This is what Isaiah 53 is all about. Whenever you are using Faith in a Member of Godhead you are doing nothing! But you receive the Grace and the Love of God. You are benefited by His Love. When we use Faith in a Member of the Godhead, it is miraculous because we do nothing and the object of our Faith does all the work and we receive benefit from His doing. This is where RELIGION has it so wrong. (you have seen this before) I, God will do for you, IF you will do for me! Promise!!! So RELIGION comes along and says See, I am doing Faith. I believe if I do for Him then He will do for me He will Reconcile me, He will save me, He will restore me as a believer. INSTEAD OF I, God, will do for you Trust Me! Promise!!! Do you see the difference? 2016-11-20 Sunday Handout Spring Valley Bible Church, Pastor Herman H. Mattox, Th.M. Page 4
In the First example you are trusting Him to accept your works which He will not do. In the second, you are simply Trusting Him! For Reconciliation; For Salvation; For Spirituality; Read Isaiah 53:12 12 Therefore, I (God the Father) will allot Him (JESUS CHRIST) with the many (All those who believe in Him) And He will allot the booty with the strong; (His reward will be all those precious souls He redeemed) Because now we have 3 reasons stated here why God will reward JESUS CHRIST by giving Him everyone who believes in Him as Savior.
