CHURCH OFFICE NOTES ~ Anyone interested in volunteering as worship assistant in one, or more areas, please feel free to call the church office or sign up in the narthex. We are in need of assistants in all areas of worship, but especially Lectors and Communion Assistants. ~ Altar Flowers for the current month will now be listed in the Weekly Messenger for your convenience. If a date is open and you would like to sign up, simply email or call the church office to be added to the schedule. ~ Any articles that you would like to have included in the Weekly Messenger need to be emailed to office@stjameslex.com or simply brought by the church office prior to Wednesday of the week you would like to see it in the publication. Thank you! TIME SENSITIVE STUFF We are in need of a Lector for Sunday, April 10. If you could assist, please email or call the church office. Thank you! VBS at St. James Volunteers are needed this year for VBS! Please check your calendar and see what you can do! We meet Tuesday Thursday nights, 6:30-8:00. We have classes for two year and three year olds, 4 s and 5 s, and 6 years through the end of 5 th grade. UPCOMING EVENTS AT ST. JAMES OWLs Luncheon On Thursday, April 21, our OWLs will hold a special luncheon here at St. James in our Fellowship Hall. George Steele and Tom Boozer will provide their amazing chicken stew and cole slaw, while our senior ladies provide pickles, rolls and dessert. We hope to see all of our OWLs there! Don t forget to mark your calendars! Church Clean Up Day is coming soon! Saturday, April 23rd at 8:30 AM, to be exact. Good deep cleaning is desperately needed, especially with the amount of pollen floating around. Check Page 4 for committee and task assignments. 3

Everyone is welcome and invited to participate in cleaning, even those not currently serving on a committee. *It will help if each committee could bring supplies needed to thoroughly complete these tasks. ** Cleaning should not last more than 2-4 hours, depending on turnout. Other cleaning tasks may be added. 4
