Good Morning & Welcome

Welcome & Announcements Hymn: O For a Thousand Tongues VU 326 Call to Worship Opening Prayer Children s Time Hymn: Jesus Hands Were Kind Hands VU 570 Song: Come Holy Spirit Lord s Prayer

Hymn: VU 326 O for a Thousand Tongues

O for a Thousand Tongues O for a thousand tongues to sing My great Redeemer s praise, The glories of my God and King, The triumphs of God s grace.

2 O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing CP306 Jesus! The name that charms our fears, That bids our sorrows cease; tis music in the sinner s ears, tis life, and health, and peace.

He speaks, and, listening to his voice, New life the dead receive, The mournful broken hearts rejoice, The humble poor believe.

4 O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing CP306 Hear him, you deaf; you voiceless ones, Your tongues again employ; You blind, behold your Saviour come, And leap, you lame, for joy!

5 O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing CP306 My gracious Master and my God, Assist to me to proclaim, To spread through all the earth abroad The honours of your name.

Voice 1: Where the Maker calls... Voice 2: Where Wisdom speaks... Voice 1: Where Spirit moves... People: We meet.

Voice 2: Where creation is sculpted from love... Voice 1: Where wisdom directs us toward eternal peace... Voice 2: Where guidance speaks out in truth... People: We worship.

Voice 1: Here is where we meet you, O God. Voice 2: Here is where we are guided by you, O Wisdom. Voice 1: Here is where we build your community, O Spirit. People: Let us celebrate.

Opening Prayer All: Gracious God, in many ways you ve called us; called us to be your own. To come, to stay, to go where we re sent, no matter the call, God, we long to respond: openly, fully, lovingly. And so we beg you:

All: Meet us where we re at and shape us to your need; because no matter whom we are or where we re at... with you... is where we long to be. This we ask in Jesus name. Amen.

Hymn: VU570 Jesus Hands Were Kind Hands

Jesus Hands Were Kind Hands Jesus hands were kind hands, Doing good to all, Healing pain and sickness, Blessing children small, Washing tired feet, And saving those who fall; Jesus hands were kind hands, Doing good to all.

Take my hands, O Jesus, Let them work for you, Make them strong and gentle, Kind in all I do; Let me watch you, Jesus, Till I m gentle too, Till my hands are kind hands, Quick to work for you.

Come Holy Spirit (Stephen Spencer) Come Holy Spirit. Sanctify this place. Shine your light upon us. Fill us with your grace. Make us disciples of your living word. Come Holy Spirit. Come. (Repeat)

Called To Where We Are

Hymn: Bread of Life MV 194 Communion Offering Offertory Response

Invitation to the Table

Bread of Life More Voices 194

Bread of Life Bread of life, feed my soul, As the presence of the spirit makes me whole. Bread of life, fill my heart With the grace and mercy you impart.

I have heard your voice calling, Come, my friend, and share In the feast that is laid out for you To show how much I care.

Bread of life, help me live A life as pure and true as Jesus did. Bread of life, help me see The boundless love of Christ for you and me.

I have heard your voice calling, Come, my friend, and share In the feast that is laid out for you To show how much I care.

Bread of life, feed my soul, As the presence of the spirit makes me whole. Bread of life, fill my heart With the grace and mercy you impart.

Leader: May God be with us. People: God is here among us. Leader: Let us open our hearts to God People: We open them to God and one another.

Leader: Let us give thanks to God. People: It is right to give our thanks and praise.

Leader: Holy God of wind and fire, your Spirit renews the face of the earth and warms the hearts of your people. We give you thanks for your gifts of Pentecostal power: tongues that utter prophetic words of truth and justice; flames that kindle new visions of compassion and peace; fresh breezes that blow down the walls which separate us from you and one another. And so it is that we join with every voice and tongue on earth and in the heavens to give you praise:

Sung: Holy, holy, holy are you, God of power and might; Heaven and earth are filled with your glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is the one who comes in your name. Hosanna in the highest, hosanna in the highest!

Leader: On the night before he died, Jesus took bread, and after giving thanks to God, he broke it, and gave it to those who sat with him saying: Take, eat. This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me. In the same way he took the cup saying: This cup is the new covenant sealed in my blood, shed for you for the forgiveness of sins.

Whenever you drink it, do this in remembrance of me. Loving God, we rejoice in the gift of your grace, remembering Christ s life and death, proclaiming his resurrection, waiting in hope for his coming again. Grant that in praise and thanksgiving, we may so offer ourselves to you that our lives may proclaim the mystery of faith:

Sung: (VU933) Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come, come again.

Sharing the Bread and Cup

All: For the bread we have eaten, for the wine we have tasted, for the life we have received, we thank you God. Grant that what we have done and have been given here, may so put its mark on us, that it may remain always in our hearts and minds.

Grant that we may grow in Christian love and understanding, and that ours may be lives of faithful action, in Christ s name. Amen.

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins

As we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial And deliver us from evil For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, Now and forever.

Hymn: VU 330 Jesus Shall Reign

Jesus shall reign where er the sun Does its successive journeys run; His kingdom stretch from shore to shore, Till moons shall wax and wane no more.

People and realms of every tongue Dwell on his love with sweetest song, And infant voices shall proclaim Their early blessings on his name.

Blessings abound where er he reigns; And prisoners leap to lose their chains; The weary find eternal rest, And all who suffer want are blest.

Let every creature rise and bring Peculiar honours to our King, Angels descend with songs again, And earth repeat the loud Amen.

Benediction

Spirit You Dance With Me Found in my laughter, Found in my tears. Spirit you dance with me. Moving with grace And quelling my fears. Spirit you dance with me.

I want to dance through life Like you dance in my heart. Holy Spirit you capture me. Light of my life You light my way in the dark Spirit you dance with me.

Spinning me round Catching me when I fall. Spirit you dance with me. Lifting me gently Being there through it all. Spirit you dance with me.

I want to dance through life Like you dance in my heart. Holy Spirit you capture me. Light of my life You light my way in the dark Spirit you dance with me.
