IFFM 2015 Convocation Group Leader Training Dr. C. Dexter Wise III Who I am Who Dr. C. Dexter Wise III, Pastor of Faith Ministries Church and International President and Founder of the International Fellowship of Faith Ministries. Who Faith Ministries is Faith Ministries Church of Columbus, Ohio is a young and vibrant congregation founded in November of 1991 by Dr. C. Dexter Wise III, his wife Dr. Shirley D. Wise and their four children. Within its first month it grew in membership from six to over five hundred and has been growing ever since. Situated in a multi-million dollar facility on 29 acres of land, it currently offers multiple ministries for men, women, youth, children, young adults, seniors, the community and the world. Faith Ministries is just like one big happy family. We have a little bit of everybody and a whole lot of love. We range in age from 4 to 95. We are black and white. We are blue collar, white collar and no collar. We have PhD s and No D s. We dress for worship in everything from jean jackets to mink coats. When you come to Faith Ministries you will see people just like you are and people who have already become what you are trying to become spiritually, educationally and economically. (www.fmctv.com) Who IFFM is The International Fellowship of Faith Ministries (IFFM) is an international missions outreach based in Faith Ministries Church of Columbus, Ohio. Since 2007, its goal has been to create an 1

international network of mission minded churches, church leaders and church members which, through preaching, teaching and healing, will serve as a catalyst for the development of individuals, churches, communities and nations around the world. It currently has a presence in nearly 30 different nations What the IFFM Convocation is What During the last week of July since 2007, the Annual IFFM Convocation has been a time of mission and church leadership oriented workshops and worship. IFFM members, leaders, partners and friends from around the world have come to Faith Ministries Church in Columbus, OH to be charged, challenged and changed. All of this has led to the edification of the local church and the greater glory to God. What this year s the theme is: A Stationary Missionary: How to Touch the World without Leaving Town Where the Convocation will be held Where This year, the Convocation will be held in multiple sites around the world as small groups meet to enjoy common materials on their own and then participate in a simultaneous workshop and worship experience together live in Columbus, OH at Faith Ministries Church and via Internet around the world. When the Convocation will take place When Sunday Friday - July 19-24, 2015 Groups meet on their own worldwide to watch the same video(s), discuss the same written materials and receive an offering for IFFM missions. Saturday - July 25, 2015 from 9 AM to 12 PM (EST) Workshops with powerful speakers on the subject of how to do foreign mission from home. Small groups in Central Ohio will gather for this at Faith Ministries This will be broadcast via Internet worldwide with translation in French and Spanish 2

Lunch Sunday July 26, 2015 at 8:30 AM and 11 AM Worship Celebration at Faith Ministries Church with both worships broadcasted via Internet Why Why we are doing this in the first place 1. Elevate awareness of and activity in the area of missions in general. 2. Emphasize the possibility and responsibility of individual Christians and churches to do missions from their own area as a Stationary Missionary. 3. Encourage others to partner with IFFM and its ministry around the world. 4. Edify IFFM Chapters and the IFFM network worldwide. How we are going to do it. How Invite a wide range of individuals, organizations, churches and institutions to host and lead groups. Your neighbors Your co-workers Your databases Facebook, email database, twitter, phone contacts, etc. How to prepare for the meeting Once you have decided to host or lead a group, then: Recruit 5-15 people to participate in your group Set a convenient date, time and place to meet Register your group Receive your Registration Kit Review the materials in this kit including the DVD s Remind your participants about the meeting the week before and the day before your scheduled meeting Meet and be blessed Plan to attend the Saturday session in person, via the Internet or watch one or more of the included videos during the same time as the gathering in Ohio Call IFFM if you have any questions How to conduct the meeting. (Copy participant version of lecture notes with the blank spaces in advance and distribute them as participants enter the meeting.) In a fun and informative way, they too will be challenged to accept the responsibility to serve and share in the call to global missions. How to register Internet through website at IFFMUS.com In person at Faith Ministries Church: Saturday, June 27 th from 10 AM 3 PM; Sunday, June 28 th at 8:30 AM and 11 AM worship; Tuesday, June 30 th from 6 PM 8 PM. Mail your interest to participate to the church along with $10 for postage. Packets will be mailed the week of June 28 th. How much does it cost? There is no charge to participate in the Convocation. A free will offering will be received at the group meetings to help defray the expenses and a $10 postage fee will be asked for those receiving the materials in the mail within the US.
