In Loving Memory Of Lois Gloria Forrester Overton November 12, 1925 December 31, 2017 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 Funeral Services at McCommons Chapel Greensboro,Georgia Saturday, January 13, 2018 11:00 a.m. Dr. Allen Jackson and Matthew Douglas Ferguson Officiating
Twenty-Third Psalm The Lord is my Shepherd: I Shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Teacher Jesus said: Let the children come to me. Don t stop them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to those that are like these children (Matthew 19) If we don t teach our children to follow Christ, the world will teach them not to The best learning I had came from teaching (Corrie Ten Boom) Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6) People don t light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lamp stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way let your light shine in front of people. Then they will see the good that you do and praise your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:15-16) And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me (Matthew 18:5) We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders (Psalm 78:4) Quotes by Granny Well isn t this a fine kettle of fish Hold the phone As Neal Boortz would say, That s mighty fine Well shoot a duck Come on down, I ll go find my running shoes.
