Commissioner Reports need to be distributed prior to Vestry Meeting. New Business Discuss items that commissioners need Vestry assistance, guidance or approval. 7) Finance: a) Monthly Financial Summery, Balance Sheet and P&L handed out. b) Twin Oaks landscaping is addressing our landscaping needs. 8) Stewardship: a) Stewardship campaign is slated to run from October 7 to November 11. b) As of September 10th, we have received 66% of our year s pledge income, so we are slightly ahead. The notices in the Messenger seem to be doing their job thank you Norris. c) Frank has agreed to join the Stewardship commission. If you are aware of anyone interested in serving, please let Stacie know. d) The Stewardship commission met on September 10 th to talk about this year s campaign. 9) Building and Grounds: No Report 10) Christian Education: a) Every Week Sundays at 9 Will be revisited following Kerygma (February 2019) Sundays at 10 Church School: Nursery, Godly Play & Formation Sunday 11:30 1:00 Kerygma Discovering the Bible Study (9/9/18 1/27/19) b) Inklings Meets the 3 rd Thursday of each month 9:30 11:00, Davis Library. Study and discuss the works of C.S. Lewis. Reconvenes September 20, finishing Mere Christianity, Book 4 by the end of 2019. c) Men s Group Meets each Thursday at 7:30am in Davis Library. Openership of CC email is currently between 40 and 50 percent of the 220 mailed. Continued weekly publication St. Mike s Messenger. Peter C updated parish attendance statistics. Updated our two Facebook pages (The Daily Mike and The Parish Facebook page.) The hashtag #7bp links to Facebook postings by Bishop John Taylor and the hashtag #bpsuf to postings by Bishop Diane Bruce. Clyde continues to video Father Michael s homilies (and Ray s organ music) on Vimeo. A Vimeo catalog has been added to our newsletter. Discussions continue about improving parish communications with Membership vision (Merrill Whatley) after Vestry approval of their proposal. MV has presented a draft new website. Peter Coppen is (still) anticipating his retirement when we find a replacement. Our work with Membership Vision will lead the way here. c) Vestry Handbook Received one set of comments and I m (still) looking forward to your comments on
the revised Vestry Handbook distributed in September 2017. d) St. Mike s Social Media Instagram The stmikessocal Instagram site now has (previous month) 306 (258) postings; and 133 (106) followers. The Instagram feed is linked at both of our Facebook pages. Please Note: The active SMAA Instagram address is Instagram/stmikessocial. There is an inactive duplicate site that some have found and asked about. Last concert was last week.
