Around Our Neighborhood First Saturday Mass and devotion at Diocesan Heritage Center Saturday, July 1, 2017 The First Saturday Mass and devotion in observance of the centennial anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima continues at the Bishop Connare Center on July 1. The day will begin with Mass celebrated by Father Tyler J. Bandura in the St. Joseph Chapel at 9 AM and be followed by recitation of the rosary. The Diocesan Heritage Center exhibit Petals of Love The Rosary in Art and Faith will be open after the devotion and again from 1-4 PM. For information, call Dennis Wodzinski, curator of the Heritage Center, at 724-552-2505. The Saint Bruno Festival, South Greensburg will be held on June 16, 17 and 18. The hours of the Festival are Friday and Saturday 5 PM to 11 PM and Sunday from 5 PM to 9:30 PM. Friday evening will be a Car Cruise and entertainment by The New Holidays. On Saturday evening The Last Resort will provide music for the evening and on Sunday John Noble as "Almost Sinatra" and the Murphy Band with special guest vocalists J. Alex and Elly Noble will appear. There will also be a Chicken Dinner on Sunday, June 18 in the Parish Center starting at Noon until all dinners are gone. Seven Dolors Church, Yukon is sponsoring a pilgrimage to three shrines in Washington DC on Thursday, June 29: the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Saint John Paul II Shrine, and the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America. Leaving at 6 AM and returning after 11 PM. Cost is $45 which includes transportation. Mass and lunch will be at the Basilica and dinner at a local restaurant.
