Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before me, that with a clear mind I may glorify You forever, One Divine Power worshiped in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen. What is A Christian While we might consider ourselves relatively good the fact is we are naturally opposed to God and His plan for our lives. This nature and the things we do because of this nature result in sin. But God loves us and has overcome sin for us. He did this by sending His Son, Jesus, to bridge the gap created by sin. Now we are no longer separated from God because Jesus has brought us back together: God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their sins against them. (II Corinthians 5: 19) The one who believes this is a Christian. The Lord s Supper If you are unable to approach the altar railing, you are encouraged to sit at the front of the sanctuary on the left side. The pastor(s) and elders will be pleased to commune you there. There is non-alcoholic wine available in the glass communion cups on the tray. The Mission of Peace Lutheran Church is to equip and encourage Christ s followers to grow in faith, share their faith and live out their faith. Chili Soup Event for the entire Congregation Robert Zorn from Mother s Refuge is the speaker January 18, 2015 12:30 PM Peace OWLS will meet on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in the Fellowship Hall at Peace Lutheran Church. We are pleased to announce that our program in January will feature Rets Rupmejs foreign exchange student for Latvia. Rets will share information on Latvia and will be available for questions after his presentation. The meeting will begin at 10:30 A.M with a short devotion and business meeting. The OWLS extend an invitation to the entire congregation, our friends and our neighbors. No one is either too young or too old to attend. We ask only that you enjoy yourself in the time you spend with us. After the program we will have an old fashioned pot luck luncheon. If you wish to join us, bring a covered dish and enough food to share our meal with our visitor and the members of our OWLS group. Normally our program and lunch lasts until 1:00 P.M. Feel free to linger as long as you wish for visiting and fellowship. Our monthly gatherings are in the fellowship hall beginning at 10:30 A.M. the first Tuesday of each month. Growing in Wisdom and in Grace at GIP... Very little is known about Jesus' life while he was a young boy. We have only one story about Jesus after his birth and through life into adulthood. In the Gospel of Luke, the boy Jesus is unknowingly left in Jerusalem by His earthly parents. They later find Him listening and teaching in the temple as if He were an adult. One of the most incredible things about Christ is that he became a human being just like us. We can relate to him even though He is God. Bible words: "God is with you wherever you go."
