Favorite Scripture and/or Bible Story: Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." on Pentecost Sunday June 4 Family Dinner 5pm Lent Madness Winners! Florence Nightengale was the winning Saint the Lent Madness Saints Contest! We played the brackets here at CCPVW and there were three winners. Congratulations Norma Cance, Kaethe Langs and Sandy Miller! Come on Sunday to see what they won. This was a fun and engaging way for people of all ages to learn about the men and women comprising the Church s Calendar of Saints. The format was straightforward: 32 saints were placed into a tournament-like single elimination bracket. There really is no rhyme or reason why one saint wins over another saint - it is determined simply by online voters who vote hopefully after reading about each saint. The first round consisted of basic biographical info about each of the 32 saints. As each saint advanced to the next bracket, additional information about their quirks, legends, and quotes was added.
