Church of Christ India Mission Work Work Report Newsletter May 2018 Romans 16:16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you. To Our Beloved Family in Christ Greetings Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ! The churches of Christ in India salute you. Grace, Peace, Mercy and Love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. We are very happy to have this opportunity to report to you the gospel and benevolent work we were able to do during the month of May by your kind love, care and support. We have been able to do many good works, which are only possible by God s blessings and your kind consideration and support. We are so very blessed and grateful to partner with you in our commitment to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ here in India. We praise God and thank you for your continuous kind help and support. We want to thank you for taking your valuable time to read this newsletter. We hope and pray you enjoy reading it. We pray that you find it informative and will be blessed by its contents. I would kindly request that you take a minute of your time to send us a brief reply. Your replies are always such a tremendous blessing to us, as they encourage us in the work we strive to do in His service. Thank you so much!

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3: 23-24 We conducted preachers bible training for local preachers. We conducted sewing machine training for ladies in our congregations We helped 2 old bed ridden preachers for food and medicine. We helped 2 families with leprosy with food for the month. We did house visiting prayers and provided food stuff. We drilled two borewells - one for a new congregation and one in the forest area. We visited the forest region to share the gospel with the villagers. We conducted two nightly gospel meetings in one congregation. We provided rice to the needy in one congregation.

We conducted our regular monthly preacher Bible study training in our home for the preachers in the congregations we serve. Thirteen local preachers met with us to study and increase their knowledge of God s word. The preachers were very happy for the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the gospel. We also fed the preachers a nutritious meal, cooked by my mother, Sister Santha. There is a great need to increase the frequency of these preacher bible study trainings. If you would be interested in partnering with us to help us accomplish this goal, please contact me.

Thanks be to God that we can report to you that we were able to conduct a mission trip into the forest area this month after a long absence. By your kind help and support, we traveled to the forest area and once again shared the gospel with the villagers living there. We took along fruits and snacks to give to the forest villagers. The children especially enjoyed the bible lessons and the fruits we gifted to them. The forest area is a remote area in the mountainous region of Andhra Pradesh state. It is very isolated from mainstream society and dangerous, as wild animals such as tigers roam there. Not many gospel ministries are willing to make regular trips into the forest region. However, we very much enjoy and look forward to each and every trip we make there, as we are striving very much to share the gospel with the lost souls who live there. Please pray for our efforts to lead the lost forest villagers to obey the gospel plan of salvation that we are teaching them. There is a great need for us to increase the frequency of our forest area mission trips. Please pray about this. If you would like to step forward and help us in our goal to visit and proclaim the gospel to the unreached in the forest area at least one time per month, please contact me. And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15

We recently started a new congregation, the Parey Reddy Colony church of Christ, located in a very rural tribal village in our area. Thanks to God s blessings and your kind help and support, we were able to drill a borewell for this tribal congregation. Currently there are seven families who attend worship services at the Parey Reddy Colony church of Christ and we are working very much to nurture and grow this congregation. While the borewell was drilled to help these Christian families obtain easyaccessible, clean drinking water, anyone in the tribal village will be welcome to come to the borewell to get drinking water for themselves and their families. Along with the clean drinking water, we will share with them the living water of salvation the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many thanks to Brother Jonathan, USA, for his kind care and support which gifted this borewell to this congregation.

I am especially happy and excited to report to you that we were blessed by God and your kind support to be able to return to the forest area to drill our first borewell there. This borewell is a very great blessing to the tribal villagers living in the forest region, as they were having to walk for many miles to obtain clean drinking water for themselves and their family members. Borewell drilling in the forest area is extremely challenging. We had a difficult time finding a borewell contractor who was willing to send a crew into the dense forest region to drill a well for us. After three days, we finally were able to find a contractor willing to drill the borewell for us. One reason contractors are reluctant to drill wells in the forest region is that it is much more difficult to reach water in the mountainous regions. Contractors have to drill many, many more feet deeper to reach water than in other places. Although it took a long time and the work went on till midnight, by God s mercy and grace, the contractors were finally able to reach a plentiful supply of water. We thank God and the East Chestnut Church of Christ, NC, USA and Brother Matthew, USA, for their kind support which made this borewell and clean drinking water possible for more than 100 families living in the tribal forest area. The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water. Isaiah 41: 17-18

What a great blessing it was for us to again provide food and medicine help for two families with leprosy this month. These families attend one of the congregations we serve in a rural tribal village. This food and medicine we provide each month are important to these families and we thank God for your kind love, care, support and prayers which help to make it possible for us to help them each month. Through the nutritious food your support provides, their bodies are being nourished and becoming stronger and healthier. These families are very grateful that God has blessed them with their daily need of food each month through your help and support. Many thanks to you for your love for these brothers and sisters in Christ.

We were able by God s grace and your help and support to provide a 2-week supply of rice to the orphans, widows and poor members of one of our newly opened congregations this month. Your kind support really makes a difference in the lives of these Christians to keep from staring. Thanks to God and to you for blessing our gospel ministry to be able to provide food to these poor and less fortunate church members.

We are so excited to be able to report to you that we have been blessed this month to begin construction on a prayer shed for the Parey Reddy Colony church of Christ, one of the new congregations we recently started which had been having worship services outside in the open. Hopefully and prayerfully, the building will be completed by mid-june and ready for the congregation to conduct worship services there. We would like to take this opportunity to express our most heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the East Chestnut church of Christ in NC, USA, and to a Sister in KY, USA, for their kindness and support to make this permanent place of worship possible for the Christians and others who attend at the Parey Reddy Colony congregation. We are truly grateful for your love and great help to your brothers and sisters here in India. Thank you so much! Please enjoy these pictures of the progress thus far on the church building.

My mother, Sister Santha, was very happy to conduct sewing machine training class again this month for the widows and poor ladies in our congregations. The sewing machine trainings are very helpful to the ladies as they are learning valuable skills that will help them provide clothing for their family members. They are also able to sell articles of clothing they make to help earn extra income and provide daily needs for their families. In addition to teaching the ladies sewing skills, Sister Santha also conducted a bible study session with the ladies, as it helps them for spiritual growth. My father, Balasundarao, conducted gospel meetings at his congregation, Gonepundi church of Christ, for two evenings in early May. We had good attendance both evenings. Local preachers shared the gospel with those in attendance at these gospel meetings.

This month we again provided a little financial help to two elderly preachers in our congregations. These elderly preachers were very happy to receive the financial assistance to help them with their food, medicine and other daily needs. They are thanking God for these blessings and thanking you for your love and support to them. We visited several families in a village where we are starting a new congregation and shared the gospel with them and had prayers with them. We heard of one man who was near starving and in great need of food. We provided some food stuff to last him for the month.

Work Report Newsletter December 2017 Targeted Needs For May Feeding the Starving Poor Church Members, Orphans and Widows in our Congregations We currently serve 17 congregations in our gospel ministry. We have recently started two additional congregations in rural villages where there was no church of Christ and the gospel has not been preached. We have many hungry orphans and old widows and destitute in the different congregations we serve. Most members of our congregations are outcasts in society, live in extreme poverty and are unable to contribute to the Lord s Day collection of the saints. They depend on us to provide even their daily needs such as food and clothing. It is especially difficult for the poor to obtain food during the extremely hot summer season here, as many days, temperatures reach 113 degrees and there is very little to no rain. Please join us in helping to provide rice for these orphans and widows and poor villagers during these hot summer months to help nourish and sustain their bodies. Any amount you are able to contribute would be a great help to us in purchasing rice to distribute in the congregations. Thank you so much! Please contact me if you would like to help support one of these targeted needs for our mission work.

Other News and Events Our GoFundMe borewell campaign, Bring Water to Christians in India, has been open since July 5, 2017 and, as of the writing of this newsletter, the total amount raised is $2230 of the $2700 goal. We have already provided a borewell to two needy congregations through these funds. If you are able and would like to contribute to help us provide clean drinking water to more of our congregations, please visit the campaign page at the link below. Please remember that no donation is too great nor too small any amount would be greatly appreciated. Again, many thanks to our Sister in Christ and the TOPPS PR Firm for setting up this campaign to help us meet the need for clean drinking water for our congregations! https://www.gofundme.com/bringwatertoindia Our Website If you have not already done, so, please take a look at our website. www.churchofchristindiamission.org

Our gospel ministry has grown over the past several years to include 15 tribal village congregations. We are also striving to establish and support additional congregations in other villages and in the isolated forest regions in Andhra Pradesh. As most all members in our congregations are very poor, depend on us to provide for their daily needs and are unable to contribute to the Lord s work, we rely greatly on your kind support to accomplish all the work we do and to meet the goals we have established for our gospel mission work. We would like to again request that you pray for our mission work and pray that we will continue to be able to support the congregations we have established and are working to establish. We cannot do it without your kind love, support and prayers. In addition to your prayers, we would like to humbly ask that you continue to support our mission work during this year, Lord willing and you are able. We would also humbly ask that you kindly share this newsletter and the gospel work we are doing with your church elders and leadership. Please request and encourage them to consider including support for our mission work in this year s budget if at all possible and Lord willing. You may give them my contact information if they are interested. I would be very happy to speak to them regarding the work we do. Thank you so very much for your continued support and all the assistance you are able to give us in obtaining much-needed additional support for the gospel work we are doing here in India. We look forward to working with you in His service

Other Mission Work Needs While we are focusing for the upcoming month on the targeted needs of rice for the orphans and widows, our gospel ministry continues to have many other needs which you may be interested in learning more about and supporting, if possible. Return Mission Trips to the Forest Areas - There is a great need for us to return to the forest areas to nourish and further develop the gospel seed which we have planted on our previous visits. Currently, we are only able to afford to go into the forest areas to proclaim the gospel once every three or four months. We very much need to be able to fund at least one forest area mission trip each month. Preacher Bible Study Training - Our ministry currently provides preacher training sessions one time per month in our home. There is a great need for us to increase the frequency of these sessions to at least two times per week. It is very difficult to provide the in-depth bible study and training that is needed with only one session per month. Sewing Machine Training Center My mother conducts sewing machine training classes one time per month in our home. We would very much like to increase these classes in frequency to at least 2-3 times per month. Also, we need additional sewing machines in the center to be able to train additional women from our congregations at one time. PLEASE PRAY FOR THESE NEEDS OF OUR GOSPEL MISSION WORK. Thank you so very much, in advance, for your kind consideration and support for these needs for our gospel work. If you have any questions or would like further information about our work or any of these needs, or if you would like to contribute to support any of these needs for our mission work, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your prayers and your kind consideration.

PRAYER REQUESTS We would like to request that you continue to pray for three individuals who are in need of prayers. Sister Debbie, from the state of Kentucky, is still having complications from her battle with cancer. She will be having surgery sometime in June; Sister Jalin and family, whose father is battling cancer, from the state of New Jersey; and precious baby Luke Williams, who has had positive results from some medical tests, but needs continued prayers for further medical testing and surgery. Thank you for your prayers for them! Many Thanks to You We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest, time and consideration you have shown in reading this newsletter work report. We hope you enjoyed reading it and were blessed by what you read and in seeing the pictures of the gospel work we are doing here in India. Work that we are only able to do through God s mercy and grace and your kind care, concern, support and prayers. We could not do the gospel and benevolent work we do each month if not for your continued prayers and support. We thank God each and every day for His blessings through your kind and compassionate contributions and prayers for us. Many, many Christians, elderly, widows, orphans, poor and destitute, outcasts, and lost souls have been helped through your kind and compassionate hearts. We can never express enough just how very thankful we are to have your continued support and prayers Please kindly take a minute of your time to send a brief reply to us your replies are very encouraging! May God richly bless you for the love you have shown to us! Please pray for our needs we are always praying remembering you in our prayers. Thank you so much! Hoping and Praying for and Expecting Your Earliest Reply, Yours in Christ, Sunil, Gospel Preacher,
