WELCOME ARDY: The Session is pleased to announce that Ardy Skidmore has agreed to serve our church as a Stated Supply Pastor for an extended period of time. Since this is her first call to a validated ministry following completion of seminary, she will be examined by the Presbytery of Charlotte at the May 21 st meeting of the Presbytery at Cook s Memorial Presbyterian Church. All are invited to this gathering to support Ardy. Also, Ardy s Service of Ordination will be held on Saturday, June 1 st at Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church. We ll plan to have the van or form carpools to travel to this special service. Ardy will be moving into our manse over the next month. Also, welcome back Rev. Diane Giannola who comes each month to assist in communion. We are happy to have you with us again. MUSIC TODAY: Today s service will begin with a wonderful song, You Are My Strength When I Am Weak. This is also called You are My All in All. Either way, it is a song which affirms our reliance on Jesus as our Savior. The choir anthem That Same Blood, helps direct us toward Easter. Our final hymn is a great old gospel song, My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less THANK YOU GIRL SCOUTS: Our church sponsored Girl Scout Troop did a great job leading us in worship last Sunday and served a great lunch!!! LANDSCAPE PROJECT: Thank you to have who have worked to brighten up our Church, Manse and grounds. We have restored the shrubs & mulch and that is not covered in our current budget. If you would like to make a donation toward this project (approx. cost is $1,600.00) please mark your envelope for Landscape Update. Thank you, Scott Hall for leading the new design work!!! MAUNDY THURSDAY: Maundy Thursday Communion Service will be April 18 at 7:30pm. This is a great time to invite a friend to join you at church. EASTER WORSHIP TIMES: Easter Sunday (4-21-19) worship times are as follows: Meet in the cemetery at 6:30am and Sunrise service will begin at 6:44am. You may bring a chair & dress is casual. Breakfast will follow at approx. 7:30am in fellowship hall. Connect (Sunday School) & Worship are at regular times of 10:00 and 11:00am. Easter is a great time to invite someone to church. EASTER BREAKFAST: Long time LPC tradition is sharing breakfast following the Sunrise Service. Chris Fish will be coordinating the meal. He will have the food items but is looking for volunteers to help prepare the meal. A volunteer sheet will be passed around and we would love to have you help. NC PRESBYTERIAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY SPRING TOUR The North Carolina Presbyterian Historical Society will be in Charlotte for this year's Spring Tour on Friday & Saturday, April 26-27. Registration is $25. We will visit two Presbyterian universities, a seminary, four beautiful churches, and the Settlers' Cemetery!
