From the Pastor s Desk Cambridge, MA Although parish life takes a few weeks into September to gear up that is not true of parish school life. This part lands like a tornado! This past week we had three days of orientation for our faculty. We are happy to welcome back teachers who continue here at Saint Peter School, and also happy to welcome new teachers to the school. Over the summer the play area for the older children was completely redone transforming it from a bark-chip area to a brand new turf area. This was completed because of an extremely generous gift to the school from Kathleen O Connell and Ted Hoff in memory of Kathleen s parents. Also, the Middle School classrooms and hallways were repainted along with some of the common areas in the main school building. Necessary replacement of some heating pipes and safety doors also was accomplished. Still to finish is the installation of a new faculty bathroom in the school. Welcome back to all our families! We pray for a great year of grace and growth for all! Finally, on another note Cardinal Seán has authorized a Special Collection to be taken up to aid the people of Texas. This will be taken up next weekend (September 9 and 10). Join Our Men s Spirituality Group Wednesdays, 7-8:30 p.m., Parish Center Beginning September 6 Our Men s Spirituality Group is for men 18 and older, who come together for prayer and sincere discussion in an atmosphere of trust.
