City-Wide Prayer Day: A City-Wide Prayer Day, A Day of Prayer and Fasting for our City is scheduled for Saturday, March 26, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church located at 2115 Winchester Road in Huntsville. Serving the City as One: Again, plans are being made for our annual church-wide day of service for the Serving the City as One outreach. Serving the City as One is an annual event to bring the churches of Greater Huntsville and the surrounding communities together to visibly demonstrate the love of Christ through united prayer and a day of serving in the community. The ministries of Union Chapel need every member to get involved. We need you to PRAY, GIVE AND SERVE. You will be asked to make donations and to render your gifts as service in the community. Meetings and Workshop Family Life Center Ministry: The Family Life Center Ministry will do a spring cleaning exercise beginning on March 12- March 31, 2011. Young Women Ministry: The Young Women Ministry will meet on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 9. Tour and Hospitality Ministry: The Union Chapel Tour and Hospitality Ministry will meet on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. Church-wide--Serving the City as One: Union Chapel, we need you to volunteer for one of the many projects of Serving the City--Caring and Sharing Day-- which is also referred to as Yard-Free Day, a project Union Chapel is familiar with and supports very well. We request all Union Chapel members to please bring your new or gently used items which are no longer of use or necessity to your family, to the Church front lawn. Tables will be set up for adult and children's clothes and shoes, accessories, toys, books, household items, furniture, and a host of other miscellaneous items. Walter Cade Jr. Workshop: This year s Annual Walter Cade, Jr. Southwest Regional Workshop will be held in Dallas, Texas on Friday through Sunday, July 22-24. The workshop will provide a significant opportunity for supporting the mission of the National Baptist Laymen through street ministries, biblical teachings, and fellowship.
