Prospers Counsel Volume 1 Author Jeremy Prosper Preface Growing up, my mother lectured me on wisdom. She insisted that it would bring me everything I wanted and needed in life. Most of the time, my mother and I were the best of friends, so naturally we spent a lot of time together. Through the many years of her mentorship I have come to believe that she was correct in her teachings and I greatly value the wisdom she passed on to me. In this book you will read many proverbs and short sayings that I learned from my mother and through my own personal experience. Most of the quotes I have written myself, but a few were written/stated by other people. I encourage you to read and study the wisdom this book has to offer. If applied to your own life I am confident of your success. Introduction Wisdom comes in this exact order; Knowledge, Understanding then possibly Wisdom. Knowledge is simply information about things that are happening and have happened in and around me. To begin the path to wisdom I must first fear the Lord, because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (proverbs 1:7). But how

can I fear Him if I do not Know, who He is? With that being said, learn who He is and you will find the starting point of knowledge. Once I come to knowledge I can then be introduced to Understanding, (the ability to discern difference). For example, you understand that you are reading a book and not examining a sea shell, because you discern the difference between the two. Finally, you have the opportunity to experience wisdom. Here is an example; Jimmy is at the store looking at a piece of candy. Jimmy does not have the money to buy the candy so he thinks about stealing it. In this very moment he has the opportunity to become a friend of wisdom. Jimmy has the knowledge, that stealing is wrong and has consequences; he also has the understanding that the candy is not free. He has completed the first 2 steps to wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to make a good decision regardless of the current circumstances. Jimmy s circumstances may seem urgent in that he really wants the candy but he uses his knowledge and understanding to capitalize on wisdom. He chooses to leave the store and return when he has the correct amount of money; a good decision regardless of his current circumstances. You can have Knowledge and Understanding and still never meet wisdom, because wisdom is, and always will be, something that we must choose to apply. Wisdom does not necessarily come with age. Wisdom comes with experience. King Saul lived most of his life in foolishness, yet the Bible states that King David Behaved wisely in all his ways, and this being when he was just a boy. David experienced much in a short period of time. He killed lions, bears and even a giant war lord. Through those experiences the faith he had in his God skyrocketed and he began to experience God like no other man ever had. Saul s life however, is riddled with bad decision after bad decision. There s no fool like an old fool. How sweet it is to become best friends with wisdom.

Prospers Counsel 1. The average person has 4,000 thoughts every 24 hours (that is 40 dollars a day at a penny per thought.) 2. The average thought travels more than 300 miles per hour. 3. It has been proven scientifically that it takes just as much brain energy to paint a masterpiece as to scribble mindlessly. Since it takes just as much energy to scribble as it does to paint a masterpiece then you might as well paint a masterpiece. 4. Losers let it happen, winners make it happen. 5. Dwell on the rewards of success, not the penalties of failure. 6. Optimism is the biology of hope. 7. Losers focus on what they are going through. Winners focus on where they are going to. 8. Problems are opportunities for significance.

9. Jobs will always be here, but you will not always be here. 10. Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving. (Albert Einstein) 11. You will promote yourself before anyone will promote you. 12. A kiss is more intimate than sex. Sex produces children and pleasure. A kiss shares the very breath that keeps us alive every day. What a pleasure it is to share my life source with a person. 13. Love is not so much an emotion as it is in motion. Love is the definition of a verb. Action Word 14. Love is like math; it can be converted into time. 15. The quality of action determines the level of the love. 16. Show me your friends and I will show you your future. (Ina Gilbert) 17. I told my mom, Gas prices are just too high. She responded, Son, the rich don t concern themselves with gas prices. 18. Everyone has a choice. Even if it is not the one you want them to make. 19. Wisdom is the ability to make a good decision regardless of the current circumstances.

20. A little sorrow is better than a great regret. 21. Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. (Albert Einstein) 22. Men make irrational decisions when they are hungry, when they want sex and when they are tired. 23. Understanding is the ability to discern difference. 24. Wisdom is in the sight of the person that has understanding. 25. People are the hinges of the door to a new season. 26. Solutions are the hinges of the door to significance. 27. People are like elevators. They will either take you up or bring you down. 28. I am convinced that math can solve problems in the spiritual realm. 29. This reality is merely an illusion; albeit a very present one. (Albert Einstein) 30. Money is the compensation for problem solvers.

31. Women are like fine automobiles. You take care of them and baby them; but naturally you just love them. 32. Lies run sprints, but the truth runs marathons. (Michael Jackson) 33. Intellectuals solve problems; geniuses prevent them. (Albert Einstein) 34. A battle won is useless if you didn t win the war. 35. The difference between God and man is one of degree and not one of quality. 36. Stop wasting your energy on things you don t believe in. (Ina Gilbert) 37. When you get focused life gets simple (Dr. Jerry Wolcson) 38. Don t exchange the time in your life on fools. (Dr. Jerry Wolcson) 39. One fool can create an army of fools if suffered in the council of wisdom. (Dr. Jerry Wolcson) 40. Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. (Albert Einstein) 41. In monopoly you can win a million times. But when you re done all the pieces go back into the box.

42. You will eventually become the things you think about. 43. I would rather be right by myself than wrong with the support of a group. 44. It is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong. 45. Time has a funny way of existing. It is best described as the length between things that will expire, and measuring the space from one location to another. 46. Space and time are simply human perception, not attributes of the physical world. They are powerful filters of our own invention, and they often serve to limit our experiences. 47. The Earth is designed like a person or likewise. The Earth has a built in immune system and the more we harm our planet the more its immune system will fight back. (Ina Gilbert) 48. God doesn t need a fortune cookie to get a divine message to you. He has more effective means of communication. 49. God does not need the lottery to bring you money. He has more effective means of bringing you wealth. 50. Your mind will create the world around you. 51. Everything in the entire universe is a result of cause and effect.

52. Perception is the ultimate reality but not necessarily the ultimate truth. 53. Since you re going to think anyway, think big. (The Donald) 54. The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking. (Albert Einstein) 55. The only place where success comes before work is in a dictionary. 56. Your belief system does not change absolute truth. 57. Everything I ever wanted arrived, disguised as an opportunity. 58. Until you understand the man s responsibilities you will never understand the man. 59. My son, before you commit, study her well; for she will have access to rule your mind for the rest of your life. 60. What is right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right. 61. The right one will create a passion in you to tell her/him everything. 62. Her slow reactions to your requests, reveals the world she will create for you. NeverNeverland.

63. Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results. (Albert Einstein) 64. If you learn how to talk to a man, you will never be without one. 65. If she doesn t make you feel kingly, she is not your queen. 66. Every morning when I wake up, the first thing I ask myself is, Jeremy what kind of man do you want to be today? If I don t make that decision first, someone else will make it for me. 67. Forgiveness does not restore trust. Forgiveness is the invitation to restore credibility. 68. God did not create evil. Just as darkness is the absence of light, evil is the absence of God. 69. A relationship has many expectations. Sadly most go unspoken. It is those unspoken expectations that are at the center of communication breakdowns; and that is what kills most relationships. 70. Don t make your house a museum of the past; but rather a canvas about your future. 71. Giving is the proof that you have conquered greed. 72. I m Wise because I used to be foolish.

73. Don t become so focused on trying to be spiritual that you forget you are here to have a physical experience. Besides, you have the rest of eternity to be spiritual. 74. We all know that light travels faster than sound. That's why certain people appear bright until you hear them speak. (Albert Einstein) 75. People decide their habits; their habits decide their future. 76. You cannot honor God and disrespect humanity at the same time. (Dr. Jerry Wolcson) 77. You deserve what you demand. (Dr. Jerry Wolcson) 78. The height you go in life determines the price that you pay. (Dr. Jerry Wolcson) 79. Some of us have overshot or undershot the goal. Nevertheless the distance equaled. 80. Our actions can be no greater than our thoughts. 81. Favor waits on the man who seizes opportunity; but it flees procrastination. 82. If God is life, and everything dwells in Him and through Him, then that means that the same material God s mind is made of is the same material my mind is made of. My Father and I are one.

83. Everything your eye sees began in someone s mind. 84. Why do you strive for that which is not? Money is not; and the only reason it may be is because we have said that it is. 85. You will experience a great degree of freedom when you practice not caring what other people think about you. To master this practice you must first learn to be completely comfortable with the person you are. 86. We are not punished for our sins; we are punished by them. 87. Make your mind a useful servant rather than a destructive master. 88. For every outer effect there is a corresponding inner cause. 89. Relaxation is good business. 90. Dis-ease begins with a thought. That thought began in the mind. But for every polar there is an opposite; meaning healing begins with a thought as well, that thought also beginning in the mind. 91. Everything you ever wanted will come to you when you master your mind. 92. We get from life the things we are expecting. It is our job to be sure that what we are expecting is what we want to experience.

93. Life is full of fish waiting to be caught by those who expect to catch them. 94. Anticipate all impending events with enthusiasm and expectation of good. 95. I am always in a state of learning because it has become my obsession. But that obsession has often produced sorrow because I have come to the realization that the more I learn, the more I come to the understanding that I don t know much at all; and neither is my life long enough to come to a significant level of knowing. Nevertheless it is still my obsession. 96. It seems to me that over centuries of time we have distorted the word holy in reference to God. The actual word is translated, wholly meaning, entirely; totally or altogether. God is entirely and totally all. 97. If God were a shape he would be a circle; nothing broken and nothing missing. 98. Always promise less but deliver more. (Dr. Jerry Wolcson) 99. The universe is still expanding because God never told light to stop. (Dr. Jerry Wolcson) 100. If your presence is not missed during your absence then you have no significance there. Go where the return of your presence is celebrated instead of tolerated. 101. Truth, which has existed from the beginning, is sown everywhere. Many see it sown, but few see it reaped.

102. Great leaders recognize that people don t need them, but they need people. If I am to be a great leader in life I have to change the me to we. 103. If it is to be it s up to me. 104. In our most basic form we are a field of all possibilities. 105. I would rather fail trying than succeed at doing nothing. 106. Success is a process not a status. 107. Any dream you can achieve without the help of other people is too small. 108. Winners trust God s resources since there dream is bigger than their abilities and acquaintances. 109. When the vision gets bigger than you, you really have only two choices; give up on the vision or get help. 110. Don t just use all the brains you have, but also use all the ones you can borrow. 111. Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside of us while we are still alive.

112. My potential is God s gift to me. What I do with my potential is my gift to Him. 113. Make every day your masterpiece (John Wooden) 114. We enter our environments to change it, or for it to change us. 115. Boundaries are not meant to limit and hold you back, they are lifelines established to protect and preserve you. 116. Your atmosphere will be composed of the things you tolerate. 117. Your purpose in life is linked to things you cannot tolerate. 118. Money has been the reason for great accomplishments while at the same time being the cause of wicked crimes. 119. Freedom is a state of mind, not a declaration on paper. 120. Wisdom is not contagious. 121. Go where you re celebrated instead of tolerated. 122. If all good things come to an end why is God eternal?

123. When you are able to bear the worst outcome you become liberated to change the present situation. 124. Your most brilliant ideas and dreams will never have any effect on a single being while they are still only words on an unrecognized piece of paper. 125. When I talk, people listen. 126. My words have, are and will change the course of a person s life forever. Since that is true I should choose carefully the words I use. 127. Every solution began with a question. 128. Don t allow your assumptions to turn into accusations without first receiving proper and convincing evidence. 129. At the end of the day does she make your life easier or create more problems? Let that be the deciding factor. 130. Ask why. 131. What you know is totally different from what you believe. 132. Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to be a man of value. (Albert Einstein)

133. The way you view people is the difference between manipulating them and motivating them. 134. People desire to be appreciated, not impressed. 135. If you are zealous for helping the poor, start with not being poor yourself. 136. Jesus said Love your neighbor as you love yourself. I would hate to be the neighbor to a person that hasn t learned to love themselves. --- Love begins with you. 137. Leaders solve problems, losers create them. 138. Since all things are subject to change, measure the change, manage the change and ultimately master it. 139. A lot of men cheat because they think the woman they are encountering is a once in a lifetime opportunity; when in reality they are not capitalizing on a once in a lifetime opportunity, but rather destroying the one they presently have. 140. Storms expose the Jonah on your boat. 141. Your dreams are crawling toward you at the speed of your bad decisions. 142. You will never advance in life until you stop using others as your personal stepping stool.

143. Anger is the enemy of instruction 144. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe. (Albert Einstein) End of volume 1.
