PM: Tapestries of Life. Next Week: AM: Timothy Christian Schools. Faith Promise Missionaries. Actual General Fund receipts for the period from June 1 through August 21 were $129,000 compared to a budget of $173,000. Actual General Fund disbursements for the same period were $104,000. Please keep in mind that these expenses do not yet include the quarterly payment of classical and denominational ministry shares which total about $44,000 and will be due at the end of this month. The deacons recognize that the summer is a time where many families are away from church and budget giving typically declines; however, your church home continues to operate and relies on your faithful and continued support. Please reflect on your summer giving and consider how God has blessed you, and how you can help us reduce the $44,000 budget shortfall that we now have for the current fiscal year, and partake in the joy that He has in store for us through our faithful tithes and gifts. Opportunities to Serve, Grow and Connect Please check out the Cadet International Camporee display in the Fellowship Hall. Thank you to the family of Faith for the prayers and support given for the Camporee. The Cadets are looking for counselors. If you are interested in applying to be a Cadet Counselor please contact Lambert Bronger, 630 665 9422. The Shoebox Committee needs your help! Loyola pediatric ward (where our boxes go) needs school supplies for their classroom and toys for the playroom. We have offered to help them in hopes that you will help us. In your mail slot is a list of their wishes. Anything on this list can be bought and placed in the Shoebox bins in the Fellowship Hall, by September 25. Questions? Call Linda Decker, 630 293 7675.

7 The Faith Book Club has picked Bonhoeffer, Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy by Eric Metaxas to start the new season. This is a detailed biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a pastor in Germany, the man who stood up to Adolf Hitler. He was one of the first to speak out against Nazism and joined the plot to assassinate The Fuhrer. He was caught and hanged just before the end of the war at the age of 39. We plan on meeting at church on Tuesday, September 20, at 7:00 PM. Grab a copy and join us then. Faith CRC is holding its annual golf outing on September 24, (1:00 PM) at Maple Meadows in Wood Dale, Illinois. Registration includes: 18 holes of golf, cart, BBQ and prizes. This year s outing will benefit the Timothy Fund Drive. Like last year, we will be playing Best Ball. This is very conducive to the novice player. We want to especially encourage families, youth groups and women to come out and join us this year. If golf is not your thing, the BBQ afterwards is for everyone. Flyers will be available on the information table in back of church. Sponsors are needed. Contact: Len Turnbull lturnbull52@sbcglobal.net. Let's Gear up for the Gettys!
