Join us in With appreciation for Alex Dollar Those who have used the church nursery have likely come to know Alex Dollar, who has been an integral part of our nursery staff for the past ten years. Alex recently resigned as a regular nursery staff member in order to better enjoy worship time with her husband and young son. We are grateful to Alex for her years of dedication to the young children of MPLC. We will celebrate and thank Alex for her service and commitment, during coffee fellowship time today with coffee and cake. Join us! Adult Ed with Pastor Dave Discovering God Anew Sundays at 10 a.m. Our experience of God transforms us and the world. God is not a mere idea but a reality to be continually encountered. Sometimes our ideas about God have failed to grow and we need to expand them to encounter God in new and more dynamic ways. Inadequate ideas about God, limit God s remaking power in our lives and the world. Join Pastor Dave in Discovering God Anew. A great way to Live Lutheran!

Origins: A Quest to Understand the History of God. Tuesday Bible Study 10 a.m. 11:30 a.m. and 6:30-8:00 p.m. Pastor Dave continues to bring you a biblical survey extending from Genesis to Revelation. This survey of scripture will be a quest to hear and understand how the original audience of scripture heard and understood biblical texts. After discovering the original context, we will let it inform our own understanding. Too often we do the reverse; we read the text with 21 st century ideas and therefore distort or wrongly interpret scripture. This survey will also show how the idea of God matures throughout history. The Bible is the History of the perceived relationship with God through God s incarnate relationship with God s people. Fasten your seat belts to enter an ancient word with a life saving word for our time. All are welcome! Bean Soup Mix - Sale TODAY! The Middle School youth will be selling bean soup mix this weekend in the narthex. Suggested donation of $5 per soup mix. All donations will benefit the food pantry at Holy Communion Lutheran Church.
