May 2017 FIRST NEWS Helping people grow to love Jesus and each other. Dear FUMC Heath, He is risen! We had a wonderful Holy Week, from the Palm Sunday Cantata all the way through Easter Morning. Thank you to all of the staff, musicians, singers, and volunteers who worked so hard and did so much to create the space for us to worship and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As we look toward May and the upcoming summer, we are preparing to swap sides of the church (so far we're still on schedule) and eventually we'll be having Sunday worship in Fletcher Hall (we'll get you the dates and details as soon as possible). But the construction will not hinder one of our biggest summer events, Vacation Bible School! Details are in this newsletter, and we're counting on everyone to help us make this a wonderful ministry opportunity for our children and the children in our community. Have a blessed month of May, and may the hope of the Resurrection grow in your life during this season of Easter. Love and Peace in Christ, Pastor Omar May 29, 2017 The church office will be closed
