The unimaginable extent to which God goes to offer redemption and new life should cause us to pause in reverent humility and gratitude. Holy Week presents a significant block of time where we see God's self-giving love unfold before our very eyes. This Holy Week, I invite you to intentionally ponder each event, each step Jesus took, and each revelation of God's wondrous love. PALM SUNDAY March 25 at 9 and 11 a.m. Our Sanctuary Choir and orchestra will present their cantata entitled, Come, Touch the Robe. Children will enter the sanctuary waving palm branches at the 9 and 11 a.m. services. MONDAY March 26 at noon Community-wide Holy Week worship will be held at Perry Presbyterian with lunch to follow. Rev. Dennis Hardin of New Hope Baptist will be preaching. TUESDAY March 27 at noon

THURSDAY March 29 at noon Community wide Holy Week worship will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church with lunch to follow. Rev. Leland Collins, Crossroads UMC Pastor Emeritus, will be preaching. THURSDAY March 29 at 6 p.m. Maundy Thursday worship in PUMC sanctuary. Holy Communion; Retracing Jesus' Last Hours on Earth; Stripping the Sanctuary. GOOD FRIDAY March 30 Noon until 3 p.m. Our sanctuary will be opened for individual prayers in remembrance of Jesus' crucifixion. A prayer guide will be available as you enter the narthex. HOLY SATURDAY March 31, 11 a.m. Children's Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt, preregistration required by Monday, March 26 for adequate food preparation and so family seating can be coordinated. EASTER SUNDAY April 1 Bring fresh cut flowers to place on the cross located on front lawn. Identical Worship at 9 and 11 a.m. in Sanctuary. This is a seated meal with tables assigned so all family members can sit together. This process takes significant juggling so everything will go well on the morning of the event. Report from Mission Team We received a report from our Mission Team who is in Honduras this week. Missions work is progressing here. We have finished everything, but the door to the shed we built behind the parsonage. We are doing VBS with videos and coloring. We will do fluoride treatments today. Michael gave a message at a school today and we went to another school and invited them to watch "Facing the Giants" on Tuesday.
First Sunday Peanut Butter and Jelly Collection
We are collecting peanut butter and jelly each month for donation to Loaves and Fishes of South Houston County. Baskets are located in the Fellowship Hall and in all ground-level adult Sunday School classrooms. Loaves and Fishes is a local ministry that seeks to feed the hungry of our community.
