TRIUMPH OF THE CROSS PARISH COMMUNITY NEWS During the month of November, the Triumph of the Cross Parish Sunday evening Mass (5:30 p.m.) will be a Holy Name Cathedral (411 South 5 th Street) and not Holy Rosary Church. The time remains the same, it is only a change in location. WRAP Sunday - White Ribbons Against Pornography Today the members of the Triumph of the Cross CWC will be wearing white ribbons to remind us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit who resides in us. We are not our own, we were bought with a price. (I Cor. 6:19-20) In this Year of Faith let us look to the Church s wisdom in the Catechism regarding what one Bishop calls the plague of pornography. In a culture that sees pornography as a mere private weakness or even as a legitimate pleasure to be protected by law, we must repeat here the Catholic Church's constant teaching. In simple terms, the Catechism of the Catholic Church condemns pornography as a grave offense (CCC 2354). Excerpt from Bought With a Price. Pornography and the Attack on the Living Temple of God A Pastoral Letter by Bishop Paul S. Loverde Bishop Loverde, Diocese of Arlington, VA TRIUMPH OF THE CROSS CWC SUNDAY: On October 27th, all women of our TOTC Parish are encouraged to pray together at the 10:30 a.m. Mass at Holy Name Cathedral and then share some food and fellowship at Zalenski's Restaurant following that liturgy.
